I think it is a very open race. Notebook is the right favourite, but he is too short to back for me. I think Fakir d’Oudrais is a bit overrated, especially without his weight allowance. I will give Cashback another chance. He was just narrowly beaten by Notebook, but he is much bigger price. I also can see Al Dancer run a nice race. He has been a bit unlucky in his previous race. In most of the races he carried a few pounds more then the rest. He might be lucky this time.

I also like Edwardstone at the prices. He won against Fiddlerontheroof and Harry Senior with a decent turn of foot. I think he was a bit unlucky at Haydock the last time out. Basically hit the front too soon and got passed by the staying on Stolen Silver. 28/1 at the exchanges, fair price. I give Shishkin the best chance, really like how he sprinted away in his races.

I’m afraid it will be cancelled, or at least held without spectators.

Not the greatest renewal. I think Song for Someone is still improving and should have a decent chance here. 9/4 will do.

I like Financial Outcome at 12/1. He won easily in the mud at Doncaster at 3m2f and then blundered at Uttoxer when going very well. Still on a lenient mark and I think this race will suit him.

    Financial Outcome 12/1 EW

I think Sametegal is a decent EW shot at 12/1. He was a two length fourth last time here and has been left on the same mark for that effort. He completely missed a fence at the beginnen of that race. I hope he is anywhere near his old form.

    Sametegal 12/1 EW

Unlucky Lemons, surely he would have won! Lucky for me though with Jannika getting placed this way.

I suppose Cyrname is no longer the highest rated chaser after today and the King George?

    Well done Graham.

And nice to see Donna’s Diamond running strongly for a place!

    Fanastic Jeff! Well done.

Unlucky for me though. Lord du Mensil ran a great race and until the last I really thought he would win. Great staying perfomance by Smooth Stepper.

Just going for the favourite here. Domaine De L’Isle won here last time over a shorter trip. I think he will improve going 3 miles. Also a little saver on Regal Encore who got me a great weekend when winning the Silver Cup in December.

    Domaine De L’Isle 4/1
    Regal Encore 7/1

I’m curious to see whether Riders On The Storm can produce his form with someone like Cyrname running. Therefore I went 9/4 Jannika to be placed. I think he will run his race and Ridrers On The Storm really got to prove he is a mid 160s horse.

    Jannika 9/4 to be placed

I’ve gone for Lord du Mensil at 6/1. I liked the way he has been winning his races. I think there is still room for improvement. My old pal Vintage Clouds has been slammed by the handicapper to a career high mark. Conditions should suit him, but I’m afraid this is too much weight.

    Lord du Mensil 6/1

I also like Donna’s Diamond here at 28/1 EW. A lot of unknowns, but in the past the course, distance and ground were ideal. So that is worth at this price.

    Donna’s Diamond 28/1 EW
