Well, I would have gone for Defintely Red (14/1), Kimberlite Candy (16/1) and Acapella Bourgeois (33/1). So I will give it a go with them.
I think Vinndication at 33s is interesting. He was favourite for the Ultima of top weight, although he seems better going righthanded, in the end he was just edged out up the hill. He had an entry for the King George last year after winning the Sodexo Gold Cup at Ascot, but he got injured. He is only 7 and doesn’t have too many miles raced in his career so far. His novice form is tied in with Champ, Defi du Seuil and Lostintranslation.
Nice price for McFabulous there Venture! Good luck. I’m keen on Keen on (sorry) at 12-1. Quite unexposed and I can see him improve again.
So Truckers Lodge won a chase and then finished a 1 length second in the Welsh National and has only been put up 1 pound for that, that is generous. However, I’m still gonna go for Christmas in April. He really looks like a complete stayer and a bit unexposed.
Yeah, this was a terrific race, but so should next year be. Hopefully Topofthegame will be back in business too.
Eclair De Beaufeu was a bit unlucky with the mistake of Janmaat in front of him, but I think Chosen Mate was too strong anyway.
I like Eclair De Beaufeu here at 7/1. Winner of the handicap at the Dublin Festival and earlier in the season he was only beaten a few lengts by Notebook. Also added Great Field at 30/1. Big risk considering his jumping, but he sure has ability.
Nice family winner!
Well, Lostintranslation was my main bet, but happy with my bet Al Boum Photo at 5-1 too. Lostintranslation just didn’t stay the trip.
I won’t say deliberate, but I think Thyme Hill would have won it.
I backed Lostintranslation earlier at 8/1. I thought that was a nice price, but there has been no love for him today and he is even bigger at the moment. He is still my main bet though. The last two years my big ante post bet for the Gold Cup won, so I’m still hoping for succes.
Also backed Monalee at 30/1, Bristol de Mai at 33/1 EW and got 5/1 for Al Boum Photo at the Unibet preview night.
Well, that was easy.
Thatsy at 12/1 EW for me. Very decent form with Latest Exhibition. Also added Saint Roi because of the McManus – Geraghty duo.
Latest Exhibition at 66s is a fantastic price Charlie! I like him too, but only got him ten times shorter. Also a little saver on Ramses de Teilee to stay one and the Cashel Man at 33/1.
Such a shame
