Is Topofthegame not out for the season?
Hopefully Kemboy turns up but I doubt he will. Will be great to see how the Lost In Translation/Top of the Game form links in with the Al Boum Photo form on a line through Delta Work & Kemboy.
Carefully Selected & Next Destination are 2 I’ll be keeping an eye out for with this their likely destination of they go well.
Saldier for me is worth a small bet at 36s. He was on terms with Espoir Dallen when falling at the last in his only start this year. .
Will be interesting to see if Mullins can get him back next year in one piece and if so can he be the first duel winner since Kauto. There a long number of horses who seemed to have ran career bests to win The Gold Cup and never really got back to that standard; Coneygree, Don Cossack, Sizing John, Lord W, even Native River (although he had his ground when he won). Might Bite, who didn’t win, certainly ran a career best last year as well. Topofthegame, Delta Work and Santini to join the division next year you’d think Al Boum will need to improve again. He’ll probably run in Punchestown and then go off on his holidays having had only 3 runs this season; plenty of miles on the clock.
I have to say that the way the English media go on about her is a bit much but that’s not her fault. She’s an excellent rider and deserves great credit but she has been put on a pedestal above Lizzie Kelly and Rachel Blackmore and it’s hard to watch. Frodon gets 10% coverage and she gets 90%. In fairness to her she gives the horse a good mention
Also, on a point of order she is NOT the first rider to ride a Grade 1 Winner at the festival. Katie Walsh won the Champion Bumper last year but it seems maybe that doesn’t count. Anyway, best of luck to her
What a great day. Have a good story for yis. I backed Al Boum Photo and Bellshill a few weeks ago; Al Boum with Bet365 and I got 14/1 e/w. Yesterday morning he was trading at 19s in the each way market in the exchanges. Bet365 let me cash in my Bet so I cashed it in and backed him each way on the exchanges. I also have small bets on him at 24s and 22s from a few weeks back. Anyway, the horse wins and I’m chuffed; check my balance on Betfair and I’m delighted with my winnings. I then just happen to open Bet365 to discover I didn’t cash out of the other bet properly.
Apperantly you have to press the button twice to confirm. What a lovely bit of luck. Some day on the Guinness yesterday; have a head like Hollyhead today

Voix De Reve’s early season form was good when he beat Hardline. He was only a neck behind Us and Them at Xmas and he was 4 L behind le Richebourg which has worked out well. Puzzled that they stepped him up in trip as he looked a bit keen in his last two races. I backed him 2 weeks ago at 20/1 each way because I couldn’t decide between Def De Seuil and Lost In Translation so I’m delighted Ruby has picked him. If he can get him settled then hopefully he’ll have a chance of grabbing a place.
Castlebawn West has ran twice and teh form of both races is muck; wouldn’t be confidnet
Reckon Min wins this today. Altior has to be beaten at some stage

The ground aint as bad as it was last year and last year Delta Work won the Pertemps. he has since beaten Le Richebourg on good ground. He’s the best Novice Chaser from Ireland and with Ireland winning the Arkle & Close Brothers I expect Delta Work to bolt up here tomorrow or Saturday
I reckon Angel’s Breath might be the best of the English; that’s based purely on hype and not on what we have seen but I reckon he’s the best of the English and Klassical Dream and Aramon are the best of the Irish.
On Fakir; I think a rating of 150 is crazy. He carried 16lbs less than Fast Buck in his maiden Hurdle and beat him by 3L and fast Buck is no Supreme horse. He then went and smashed up a load of English Juveniles. My guess would be that the Juveniles he smashed up are closer to 130 horses than 140 horses and Fakir himself is a 140 horse at best; which is still good for a Juvenile but I reckon he’ll need more than 8lb allowance. Then again with Sky Bet there’s no harm
Allaho gone very weak on the exchanges for the Albert Bartlett; could be heading here. You can get around 20’s on him in both races. Maybe with Klassical Dream going to the Supreme means Ruby wants him here. As recent as last Friday the Albert Bartlett was the plan but I took some 50’s on him for The Ballymore when the weather became clearer. Hopefully he goes here
Agreed, ham. Never fancied DDG. If Cilaos Emery was here Ruby would be on him for sure. What did you make of Chacun Por Soi today at Naas. That was some run; although he beat nothing he was very impressive. Pity they didn’t have him out earlier
Al Boum Photo
Native River
KemboyWhiskey Sour for me here at 16/1 each way.
Couldn’t have Kilultagh Vic for any race short of 3 miles.
