Hoped klassical dream would be declared
2 miles on what will likely be soft or even heavy ground early on Tuesday looking at the forecast will suit him well
Backed him on skybet, no brainer with the money back as cash up to £20 offer
March 10, 2019 at 12:53 #1400504I’ve finally settled on Mister Fisher in what looks a wide open renewal. Been scratching my head over this for weeks and while others perhaps have more depth to their form; this one has done nothing wrong and has been putting in some great times in the process. 10/1 is plenty reasonable.
March 10, 2019 at 14:49 #1400520I’m pleased at least to see that Vision D’honneur has made the line up, albeit
at double the price, 16/1, that I took him at before his disappointing run in 3rd behind Klassical
Dream at Leopardstown last time out. On that run it’s hard to fancy him, but if he were to revert
to the form of his previous run at Punchestown, he at least would have some kind of claim. I see
they have decided to run him with a first time tongue-tie, perhaps it may help. I’m hopeful rather
than confident
March 10, 2019 at 14:57 #1400524Graham, there’s a chance I’ll sit this out, but if having a bet, it would be Vision, Felix Desjy, or Brandon Castle.
The panel at the Preview Night in Motherwell were very keen on Vision, just so you know. Don’t know if that’s good or bad news lol
March 10, 2019 at 16:10 #1400530Thanks Bobby, I’ll take it as a positive, I need all the help I can get
March 10, 2019 at 17:24 #1400548Aramon a nose behind Klassical Dream and a grade 1 winner, prices don’t make sense now. I’ll definitely have a bit of 16/1 e/w – come on Townend!
March 10, 2019 at 17:38 #1400550I can’t remember Pointer when Ruby Walsh got it wrong when choosing from the stable in the Supreme.
March 10, 2019 at 18:28 #1400556Pointer, its ground dependsnt the prices, aramon has been said to need better ground and klassical dream has been said to prefer it soft, if the ground was good KD would be in the ballymore… thats why the price difference id expect of both run there race that KD will leave him behind on softer ground
March 10, 2019 at 18:29 #1400557He got it wrong last year mike
March 10, 2019 at 20:35 #1400570True however I meant when he won or nearly won as opposed to Mullins horses being unplaced.
March 10, 2019 at 21:30 #1400574Looks like I m the only one putting up FAKIR for this . Fast improving 4 y o won gd2 by 13l over course lto and gets a handy 8lb allowance. Already rated 150. On with skybet so money back if beaten.
March 10, 2019 at 22:45 #1400588Not mad on anything in the race this year. Backed Al Dancer before the betfair and I know winners of that don’t tend to win this but nothing else appealing to me much so I’ll stick with that.
Small play with one of the many offers you will get on the day on Thomas Darby for fun.
March 11, 2019 at 08:21 #1400637Just had the free £20 win bet on Aramon. His best flat form came on soft and with nothing to lose as sky refund stake in cash then I thought why not. Hopeful as opposed to expectant.
March 11, 2019 at 09:32 #1400640On Fakir; I think a rating of 150 is crazy. He carried 16lbs less than Fast Buck in his maiden Hurdle and beat him by 3L and fast Buck is no Supreme horse. He then went and smashed up a load of English Juveniles. My guess would be that the Juveniles he smashed up are closer to 130 horses than 140 horses and Fakir himself is a 140 horse at best; which is still good for a Juvenile but I reckon he’ll need more than 8lb allowance. Then again with Sky Bet there’s no harm
March 11, 2019 at 10:38 #1400643Good luck with your free bet on Aramon Potato, I can’t quite get my head around the
his odds being more than double that of Klassical Dream, with barely a fag paper
separating the pair last time out at Leopardstown. Both have a decent shot.Whilst we’re on about free Cheltenham bets, I mentioned the email I got with the
Sky offer earlier, I thought I would bring up Bet365’s offering in case it hadn’t
been clocked by anyone who has an account with them. I didn’t get an email, and it
was by chance I brought their site up yesterday when I noticed there was a message
on it. Their offer is that if you bet £50 (or up to) on any race at the festival,
not being the “stand out race” as they call it (Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase,
Ryanair and Gold Cup) then they will give you a free bet to that value on the
“stand out” race that day. So on the Tuesday if you bet on any race, not being
the Champion Hurdle, they will give you a free bet on the Champion Hurdle to the
same value. The same applies for the next 3 days. You have to strike the bet
after 1300 on the day before the big race, and it can be on any race that day.It gives a cracking start to the Festival, I can have 50 quid on the Supreme with
Sky, knowing that I’ll get it back if it’s a loser, and 50 quid on the Triumph with
Bet365 knowing that I’ve got 50 free for the Champion Hurdle, whether my bet wins
or not. I’ve read down the small print and it does state ” Only customers who receive
the promotional email, web message, text message, pop-up or mobile notification are
eligible for this offer.” I nearly missed this one, so if you haven’t had an email,
like me, then check your account for a message. It’s too good to turn down
March 11, 2019 at 10:55 #1400645William Hill paying seven places in this race!!
Am on ARAMON and MISTER FISHER
Good Luck Guys
March 11, 2019 at 11:19 #1400648Seems to be the usual overreaction to ruby picking the other Mullins horse that has caused aramon to be massively overpriced now
Both have good chances, but so does half the field, probably wouldn’t be having a bet if it wasnt cheltenham
