I’m not looking so clever now with (what was) my idea of the winner here. After
his run at Punchestown in January I though Vision D’honneur was impressive
and looked like a fast improving sort. I backed him at 12/1 at that time. So,
smarty pants that I am, I thought I’d steal a march on the market and just
before his run last time out at Leopardstown, I also got stuck into the 8/1 that
was on offer. Half an hour later I could have picked him up at 18/1. I’m not
convinced he will head here now, if there’s a crumb of comfort it’s that he is
the shortest of the Gigginstown lot so if they think he’s the best they have in
this, they might just give him his chance. He has come in a little to generally
12s and 14s, so perhaps he’s doing better at home, or it could just be the markets
shortening up most things with the Festival only days away. I’m not going to have
a second stab at this before the day, I think a few will lengthen and there will
be some offers to consider (extra places, free bets etc).On the free bets front, I’ve already had an email from Skybet offering “money back
as cash if you lose” in the 1.30 every day at Cheltenham….up to a maximum of £50
(first bet only). That sounds a pretty damned good offer to me
March 8, 2019 at 13:46 #1400197It’s the best offer of the year and has served me well for the last 3/4 Festivals. Although I thought the maximum was £20?

START AS YOU MEAN TO GO ON
Cheltenham. Seven races a day of pure unbridled adrenaline and energy. But the first race is the most important, and we think it should set you up, not back. That’s why we’re offering Money Back AS ACTUAL CASH (up to £50) if your horse loses the first race EVERY DAY at the Festival.
No asterisk, no free bet, just straight cash back in your account. Because every day at Cheltenham is full day of magic and mayhem, and we want you to start every day right.
Money Back as Cash. That’s Betting, Better.
March 8, 2019 at 15:23 #1400207My app is telling me £20. I feel short changed!
March 8, 2019 at 16:40 #1400210Paddy doing money back as a free bet if your horse finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th on day one
Though only up to a tenner
The sky bet offer seems to good to be true, shame it’s not £50 for everyone though
March 8, 2019 at 22:31 #1400260Brandon Castle looks massive at 50/1 for this.
He’s unbeaten over hurdles 3/3 and last run is worth a rating in the 140’s. That was on unfavourable ground too as he was best on the flat on soft/heavy whereas that run was on good ground. Cheltenham bound to be softer ground. This horse jumps unbelievably well for flat horse and is rated 96 on the flat.
Should be lower than 50/1 in my opinion
March 8, 2019 at 23:42 #1400268With all the rain forecast I hope Klassical Dream comes here coz i fancy him a lot for this.
March 9, 2019 at 00:28 #1400274I will be backing klassical dream whether he runs in this or the ballymore
Think he will run well in either race
March 9, 2019 at 23:40 #1400439I’ve backed Klassical Dream at 33/1 for this. Last week I thought that bet was gone due to him stepping up in trip, but the rain may safe my bet.
All the money seems to come for Angels Breath, he may even start as favourite.
March 10, 2019 at 09:02 #1400468Might be a similar scenario to Champagne Fever when, after weeks of expectation that he would run in the Ballymore, he was declared for the Supreme.
March 10, 2019 at 09:09 #1400469Pretty certain he will come here now also, left my bet open incase this happened so a win/win i get a run for my dough
March 10, 2019 at 10:32 #1400482Klassical Dream declared and Ruby is riding
March 10, 2019 at 10:55 #1400487Hi DBRDBR – where do you see that? On the Racing Post website I can’t see Ruby named as being jocked up on Klassical Dream. Thanks.
March 10, 2019 at 10:56 #1400488He is definitely jocked up cnc
