Well I’m a Saldier backer so I don’t care either way but it was fairly clear that Saint Roi is the better horse
Shishkin and Abacadabras pulled well clear in the Supreme because the 2 horses who were travelling best into the race were taken out of the race by Asterion Forlonge. I’m not convinced that the Supreme form is as hot as some think it is. Be interesting to see if Shishkin really is the second coming of Altior but I’ve a feeling he might not be.
Mark Walsh was choking the life out of Saint Roi all the way. He should have let him make the running; I think Saint Roi is around 6-7 lbs better than Abacadabras based on what I saw yesterday and that will make him a contender in the Champion.
Would Shiskin backers not be concerned about Abacadabras letting the form down? After his first run I’m happy to take 16/1 e/w on Unexcepted. Definitely an Arkle horse; likes to get on with it and jumped very well on Chase debut. Backed with Bet365 so can cash in if he disappoints between now and the Arkle
I don’t mean production of oil; I mean production in the global economy. Product as in the P in GDP. China basically closed down all their factories for 2 weeks. Less global production means less demand for oil.
Less demand for Oil is the reason there is an issue now with Saudi & Russia. they wanted to reduce the supply to stabilize the price but one side is not playing ball meaning their will be higher supply and lower demand.
The point I was making is if there was no virus; this wouldn’t be happening. Therefor the markets falling today is because of the virus.
The price war between Russia & Saudi Arabia is indeed partially why there has been a general downward trend but it’s a two sided issue; over supply due to the price war and lack of demand due to the virus..

It has everything to do with the virus. Why do you think oil has dropped? Lack of demand. Why is there a lack of demand? Because there’s a lack of production and why is that? Because of the virus..
280 cases in the UK now. FTSE 100 down 3.62% today. S&P opened down 12% and markets were suspended; it’s eased somewhat to down 5%. France (CAC) and Germany (DAX) are down 7%. This thing is starting to mess with money now which means it’s time for governments to act. I think we’re going to get away with it but only just. Still nervous that it will be shut down at any moment.
Yeah, ham. Still worried. I usually have every race backed at this stage. I still have no bet on in the Ballymore, Mares Hurdle, Foxhunters, Gold Cup or the Marsh at this stage.
I’ve nothing in the handicaps yet either but I’m going to back all 10 handicaps in running this year; that’s a new tactic that has nothing to do with the Virus.
163 cases in the UK now.
Was looking to take Carefully Selected on but I really cant see past him if he stays up.
84 cases in the UK now and 2 in Ireland. Would love to have everyone elses confidence.
And by the way I do realise the above is an attention seeking insecure post. I really want someone to put their arms around me and tell me everything’s going to be ok..
4 new cases in the UK yesterday brought number of cases from 36 to 40; 11 new cases today bring it to 51. What do you reckon the magic number is before drastic measures are taken? I’m sorry for being a negative nelly but I cant see the festival going ahead; I just cant. Italy had 400 cases last week and they now have over 2,000 cases. I think Paddy’s Day will be cancelled in Ireland; London Marathon will most likely be chawked off as well.
I’m not usually a negative person; but I just cant focus on preview videos or tips or any of the races – this thing really has me spooked. If Cheltenham was this week I think we might have got away with it but I really think we are now days away from drastic action being taken by the UK government.

Asterion cost big money after his point to point win so somebody out there holds him in high regard.
The ground for Asteriuon Forlonge’s Grade 1 win at Leopardstown was Soft, Ham. They watered heavily on the Saturday night of the DRF and teh ground was horrible and “gluey” by all accounts
Robbie Power has taken the ride on Ricci horses when Ruby or Paul deserted them in the past. I’m on Min at 6/1 here and I’m delighted with that. Ornua will set a good strong pace for him. Course form, ran a career best last April. Below par on his seasonal reappearance but still had enough to win a Grade 1. Going to be a great race either way.
She took a very wide route around the home turn. Would have liked her to do it easier but I think she did miss a few weeks of training with a pulled muscle.
