Genius – Thznks
Frodon, Noble Yeats and Fantastikas for me
Gumball & Poseiden here for me at big prices. Kevin Blake put me off Embittered
There’s no way DD and SG are both coming here; he always splits his best 2. Dysart Dynamo far too buzzy for the Ballymore. Sir G is class and class horses win over any trip. Sir G will piss up in the Ballymore and I imagine Dysart Dynamo will piss up here as well if he handles the occasion.
Envoi Allen beat nobody over fences in Ireland before Cheltenham in his novice year. A mickey mouse beginners at Down Royal beating January Jets, beat Assemble in a 4 runner Drinmore and then won a weak race at Punchestown where Asterion Forlonge fell at the first. Obviously he had the back class over hurdles, just like Bob Olinger
Mike, its not that Bob is a bad jumper; its the fact that he doesn’t make ground at his fences and GDC does. If they turn for home together I reckon Bob will win but I reckon Paul will let GDC attack his fences and Bob will have to work harder during the race to keep up. Like always, time will tell. GDC for me
Cant see it. Only Elliot could have challenged Mullins and Sneezy has the Elliot yard but has lost Envoi Allen and Galvin.

Percy’s owner defending Elliot and sticking with him. Maybe by Friday this will have calmed down a bit and he might get away with a fine. If he could hang on to his license without facing a ban or suspension then I’d say he would tale that and that would be the best he could hope for.
As Paul Keely pointed pit on Twitter 6 of the last 11 winners of the Melbourne Cup came from Europe. they had to travel to Australia and spend 2 weeks in quarantine and they got the job done. Obviously these horses are only 4 year olds but you’d imagine they should be ok
He’s paying the price for a moment of madness but was it just one incident or was he just caught once? If he could do something like that then I’d be surprised if he did it just once. His statement on Sunday night was just bizarre. He will be sanctioned and should be sanctioned but there has to be a way back for him eventually. I reckon he has learned his lesson and watching Cheevely Park and The Moran’s leave will have hurt. He has a brilliant facility there at Culluntra and I hope he gets the chance to rebuild his crumbling empire
Is it bad that I’m concerned about my bets at a time like this? Of the ante post horses I’ve backed that don’t have NRNB protection I’m sitting on the Storyteller 22/1 e/w for Stayers (now 12/1) and Grand Roi 12/1 for The Croal Cup (now 8/1). They’re with Bet365 so I can cash out; should I cash them? Will Elliots horse’s be running at the festival is the question I’m asking?
Joe, would this woman who is well known within Irish racing be the daughter of a Gold Cup winning trainer?
There are two consequences here; firstly the IHRB take action and sanction Gordon with some sort of suspension or fine – this is unlikely – its possible but unlikely
The second consequence is owners pull their horses or even stop investing in big purchases. Gigginstown, The Morans, Cheevely Park & JP (if one of four of them pull the plug then its a disaster for him). The Morans spend the most money at the moment. he’s spending big money for them at the sales
The ground on the chase track in Leopardstown on the weekend wont be a kick in the ass away from the ground you’ll get for the Arkle
What a race. Think Mullins realises hes in a battle for the Trainers Championship. Chris’s Dream, Samcro, BOD and Tornado Flyer all have a run under their belt which will stand to them
