Harry Derham says Give Me a Copper is Paul Nichols best chance of a winner at the festival. 6/1 is horrible value for a race like this but in fairness he has a nice weight
Yeah, seen that one. He wasn’t funny either. Should leave the comedy to The Final Furlong lads. Them two bouncing off Chappers with The King of Cavan, Tony Keenan, should be good craic
According to Patrick last night he hasn’t been completely ruled out yet; to quote him “We’re still on tender-hooks with him”; whatever that means??
Uradel given a British ratiung of 137; unlikely to get in here off that mark; most likely Martin Pipe. I thought hed get 140 at least.
If you liked Klassical Dream then the obvious alternative is Aramon; very little between them LTO. Can be had at 12/1; is definitely going here and will have Ruby on his back. An each way bet on a Mullins first string in the Supreme; makes sense to me.
Hardline beat him by 10L; if Hardline is 16/1 then 20/1 seems fair for Us and Them; you’d imagine they’ll both shorten
Ruby has a big say and he will want to ride the best two novices; happens every year
Yeah, I’ve tickets to The Final Furlong Podcast preview
Have to say I think Hardline is still great value each way. There could be 6 runners in this so getting 3 places now on Hardline just makes sense. He beat Getabird going right handed at Limerick over 2 mile 3f and beat Us and them by 10L over 2 mile 1F; Us and them has been beaten by Le Richebourg twice, both times on a shorter margin than the 10L Hardline beat him by. Duc Des Genievres doesn’t deserve to be shorter than Hardline based on what he’s done. I can see why Lalor is the favourite because he’s got C&D form but he’s been smashed up a few times. Really like Hardline for this.
It seems for this Arkle that you won’t need to be a 160 Chaser to win it; I just wonder could the Mullins Mare, Pravalanguna, with a 7 lb allowance sneak into the frame? Think you can still get 40’s in some places..
Is Cilaos Emery definitely out? He’s gone out of the Paddy Power market but I didnt hear that he was officially out; thought he was just doubtful.
Delighted with my 16/1 each way NRNB on Hardline; he’s into 12’s now. If Defi Du Seuil and Glen Forsa go to the JLT then Duc De Genievres is second fav behind Lalor. Very open race now.
You dont need evidence to be confident
I’d cash it, ham.
Yep, with Blackbow, Tornado Flyer, Carefully Selected and Quick Grabim all missing Cheltenham Aramon and Klassical Dream are the top 2 Novices from the yard so they’ll be split up. Great that they’re both available at each way prices NRNB
Klassical Dream each way 7/1 NRNB. That’ll do me for now. He will turn up here. Anyone who doubts that just look at Mullins best two Novices Hurdlers; they always get split up. Vautour & Faugheen, Douvan & Nichols Canyon, Min & Yorkhill, Melon & Bacardys, Getabird & Next Destination. Those lads were all rated 1, 2 in the Novice pecking order. This year it looks like Klassical Dream & Aramon will carry the 1, 2 flag. Aramon has been earmarked for the Supreme as per todays media event. Klassical Dream is up in teh air and could go for either. Ruby will have his say and he’ll end up here.
I could be wrong but that’s what NRNB is for.
On Faugheen at 9/1 each way NRNB with Paddy Power; happy with that. Ruby will be on Faugheen; Townend will be on Penhill
If Cilaos Emery doesn’t make it then 16/1 each way NRNB for Hardline looks the bet for me. Elliot said this is where he’s going with Mengli Khan going to the JLT. Arkle could be a small enough field come the day so great each way value there. Beat Us and Them by 10L over 2 mile 1F which is 3 lenghts more than le Richebourg beat him.
Have you got a link to his stable tour?
