Battleoverdoyen now 13/2 for Ballymore.
Makes 0 appeal to me whatsoever. He’s won a grade 1 but tornado flyer clearly didn’t run it’s race and was it’s main competition. It’s been all out to win by 2 and half lengths and they weren’t strung out the home straight I think the first 5 all finished within 6/7 lengths of the winner. Doesn’t screen ballymore winner to meJanuary 6, 2019 at 17:27 #1391596I agree – it looked a mediocre event and they seemed to dawdle during the middle third. Also, the winner’s Navan form is poor.
I’d rather back Jarveys Plate at more than three times the odds.
January 6, 2019 at 17:33 #1391598Seemingly something amiss with TF after running like that, hopefully they rectify any problem quickly so he can still compete at Cheltenham. He looked highly promising before today so would be a shame if such a young horse was injured.
Battleoverdoyen needs to be tested properly if he’s going to win anything at the festival.
January 6, 2019 at 17:44 #1391604Raw and very green it was a good performance. It wasn’t breathtaking and TF pulling up takes the gloss off the performance.
I would agree his current price is mental considering how raw he still looks.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 7, 2019 at 13:43 #1391685Thought he done it well myself, even if the form in between can be questioned. He was pretty green but i’d hope he would have learnt a lot today and will come on a tonne for it.
Hopefully see him at Leopardstown in the 2m 6F race to get some more experience before the Fez.January 12, 2019 at 01:24 #1392191I think tidal flow will win nicely tomorrow but surely you have to be on downtown getaway for this and not tidal flow based on their meeting. Downtown getaway looks like it’s got loads of potential and we just scratched the surface. But does it come here or go to Albert Bartlett given that Henderson has champ for this?
January 26, 2019 at 15:14 #1393814FInd it hilarious how some bookies have shortened birchdale into 6/1!!!! IMO he would not have won, but regardless 6/1?! Must be a joke lol
January 26, 2019 at 15:33 #1393821Birchdale has made up a couple lengths and was almost upsides when the other horse fell. Ok inclined to think it would have won anyway. And it was kept pretty wide the whole race typically by ‘scenic route’ geraghty. Seemed to be caressed into it. Think there’s a lot more to come but I agree 6/1 is too short for that
January 26, 2019 at 17:32 #1393858Also ham where are you getting 6/1 Birchdale? Lol it’s 20/1 mate
January 26, 2019 at 18:45 #1393874Corals, hills all shortened him to 6/1 after the race and hes slowly drifted right back out, some never budged from 14s+ i was just having a pop at those who put him in at 6/1 lol
Corals still have 8/1… numpties
January 26, 2019 at 19:29 #1393878Birchdale has quite a lot more to come, though it might be next year or later before we see his potential realised.
February 19, 2019 at 20:10 #1398294VTC – Elliott states this is where Galvin will probably run, as per video on Sporting Life
February 19, 2019 at 20:29 #1398298Oooft, I’ll have to have a wee nosey at that.
I’m just in from work, now off to play footy, I’ll give that a look when I get in mate, thanks for the heads up.
February 19, 2019 at 22:00 #1398311Fantastic news cnc ill need to look at that also as i took the daft prices on him for here and the supreme, was disappointed when i didnt see him mentioned in the atr stable tour
February 20, 2019 at 00:14 #1398320I’m no going to count my chickens Ham, been here before, but it’s encouraging at least.
February 20, 2019 at 16:41 #1398391Klassical Dream each way 7/1 NRNB. That’ll do me for now. He will turn up here. Anyone who doubts that just look at Mullins best two Novices Hurdlers; they always get split up. Vautour & Faugheen, Douvan & Nichols Canyon, Min & Yorkhill, Melon & Bacardys, Getabird & Next Destination. Those lads were all rated 1, 2 in the Novice pecking order. This year it looks like Klassical Dream & Aramon will carry the 1, 2 flag. Aramon has been earmarked for the Supreme as per todays media event. Klassical Dream is up in teh air and could go for either. Ruby will have his say and he’ll end up here.
I could be wrong but that’s what NRNB is for.
February 20, 2019 at 18:29 #1398554Just thinking why connections are aiming Champagne Platinum for this and not the supreme?
I can only think of two reasons the second one is more likely.
1) CP is a rocket and has a very good chance
Or 2) Champ pulls very hard so connections will use Champagne Platinum from the front as a pace maker.
I wanted to back CP but will wait just before the off or in runnng.
