There is a Henderson horse I have been chipping a little away at recently and am delighted to see he is only entered in the Neptune. I hope he wins his next appointment and makes the march appointment.

Anyone else got a view on Kilcrea Vale. Very under raced for a Neptune but could be smart.

What was the deal with the Gigginstown ban?

I’m involved on Pylonthepressure and Up for Review. Sadly Pylon is trading at 30 plus on Betfair.

Pipe’s horse looks Britain’s best hope.

Mullins team is phenomenal, not sure I have seen a stronger festival sting ever.

    Nice response.

    It really is individual interpretations.

I regard myself as a pretty good judge as well and would say five lengths at the very least lost and more when he has to accelerate whilst a the field is at decent cruising levels. It is still a tough ask on the back stretch to make distance, they are hardly crawling, I agree he would had no chance in other areas of the race.

None of this takes the shock factor for the horse and any minor physical pain or issues. Obviously anything major he’d have been pulled up or tailed off.

The jumping issue is not a big thing and both horses seem to be similar in throwing a sketchy, top scraping whack which doesn’t seem to affect either. The new one is certainly better jumping at speed.

For me, like many the turn of foot phrase is misinterpreted. He just has more stamina and runs at his top speed which is a tad slower than some of the speedier types, for a longer period. So when a horse gets caught "one footed" he is simply outpaced, especially in a 2m grade 1 at the festival. However the nature of the course and the faster pace then plays his stamina card and he flys home (turn of foot) with his stamina holding out over speedier types that are tiring. I do agree that Jezki and My Tent had rant each other into the ground come the most visually impressive close at the death.

It is the above reason why Faugheen really could be a total monster, his top speed figures argue in his favour too. He tanks along and doesnt seem to get outpaced, he also has the neptune stamina.

For what it is worth I make Faugheen the slight favourite but I wouldn’t make them evens vs 3-1 which is why I am on TNO. I won’t make much either way as I refused to get on early in the season.

I hope one of them wins.

Topped up ew on the Monk.

I also managed to get half a point on Annie Power at 43-1.

I have been looking at both this and the mares race, Arguably Mullins has a good chance to nick the mares with the improving Morning Run.

He has little top notch fodder for the world hurdle. AP placed last year, If I was the owner I’d want another crack, especially as it looks just as open.

No one seems to give The New One any credit for almost winning a champion hurdle when losing the best part of 8 lengths in the middle of the race when pretty much stopped in his tracks. THAT WAS SOME PERFORMANCE!!!

I don’t think there is any reason to compare the two horses and attempt to argue which will win. The market has them in the right place, no one will get rich on the coin toss, however 3-1 on a coin toss is where the value lies if you believe it will be between these two.

Reality is Fugheen has not raced against the other market leaders. He’s not necessarily avoided them, he came over for christmas. But who could say he should be short?

For what it is worth, I hope The New One wins. Mullins makes my skin crawl.

Does that mean SJ would beat any horse he ever races against as long as it is not Douvan?

    Cheers for the tip ;)

Can’t really see any value. Yes the percentages say otherwise. However I see clarcam, bosses and sceaux nabbing at least two of the three places. I’m not willing to expose myself chasing one place.

Can see him still going for AB. The winner and McKinley going Neptune and now, sadly Tell Us More might be Supreme. Sadly hammered into him ew Neptune, just had a sneaky go at 25-1 with betfair on TUM in the Supreme. 1 point.

A fall or blunder is only chance he loses surely? Vautour won’t take him on so his main rival is out too.

Josses hill is only one who could do him?

I think you’re 33-1 is a victim of the bookies not cutting as much as expected with a win. I think that 10-1 will be eradicated in no time. The big issue is good ground but that is taken with the price.

I think the key for me is just at the last 100 yards, it looked like he was potentially tiring or the other two were getting closer then he actually starts going away a little again right at the death, this for me suggests he would be able to out stay these two and potentially could have won further.

Many Clouds fits the bill for second season chaser GC winner, I hope he wins for Hennings too. Trabolgan always looked the part too.

That is misleading, the last paragraph is also about FF not NMH.

I hope, hope, hope NMH goes in today. Been attacking him all Christmas.

On the brit side of things, I have exposed myself too much on Fletchers Flyer. Anyone know much about stable plans. Fry has two around the 16-1 mark. I was concerned as he drifted to around 25 for a short while. He has now 20s on the exchanges.

He has hung left yet he ran a solid ts figure lately, has a pointing background which i love for this race and he looks a huge stayer. Hoping he comes out in a trial and runs an even better TS figure. I like to punt on horses who show progressive RPR and TS figures going p each race. I want to see a better time from NMH, yet to break 100 TS.

Steeplechasing, I am very jealous of that 33-1. I am not sure why I didn’t do the same, before the race i mopped up plenty of 16-1 for the GC.

I usually nip on a few of these doubles but slipped my mind this year. Annoyingly was convinced 4-1 was far to big yesterday yet didn’t bet. Had a mare.

Conti is too short for me.It makes the GC a race to go at. A few weeks ago it was even better, the field was largely 16-1 bar from Conti and R2R.

    Go on the clouds.

Dynastes performance on sat will decide his route. He stayed on in King George well enough and was getting closer at the death. His Ryanair win last year was nice and proved the course itself holds now fears. If he shows the stamina and wins he’ll defo go for gold.

I am going to cover him NRNB for the GC ew. He won’t run unless he impresses/wins on sat.

I am a huge fan of Champagne fever and followed him with plenty of money since losing to TE in a bumper.

For what it’s worth, I have never been overly sure on his jumping of fences. I will admit he has seemed to put his best foot forward in the bigger events and can’t really fault him in the Arkle or King George so it might be he brings his big game to the right events.

I have, however noted personally that of the other five chase starts the following have been reported.

    16 Nov 13 – Errors and mistakes
26 Nov 13 Errors and mistakes
    1 May 14 – Not fluent
    13/ Nov14 – Mistakes
    15 Jan 15 – Fell

It is my personal opinion that he will struggle in a frantic top top class 2 mile race.

It is worth noting that he also lost to an outsider in last years Arkle. If he was CC material, I like to think he’d be winning that. Maybe I am being a bit harsh but for me he looks a 2m4 horse. Love him regardless.
