I think Zoey Bird is unbelieveably bad as a pundit/presenter,analyst/interviewer.Her speciality is confidently declaring the result of incredibly tight photo finishes.

Also, why do horses wear nosebands? I guess cheekpieces work similarly to blinkers but don’t quite understadn the purpose of the noseband. Thanks

Arguably not wearing a noseband cost Dayjur a Breeders Cup Sprint.

I was at the elitebet one before Christmas.I enjoyed the experience but what should have been a winning day turned into a losing day.I would definitely recommend trying it once-I would certainly go back again.

Reading the archive debunks a lot of his theories.Of course he gets it right the odd time but a lot of his stuff is laughable.

If Detroit City was a very sick horse with a heart problem how come they ran him at Aintree.

The archive is brilliant -so many wrong predictions in the one place. This time last year he was advising Detroit City at 10/1 to win the next 3 champion hurdles.
Sizing Europe would be my biggest ever winner by a long way but at the same time there is a lot that can go wrong and you need a certain amount of luck on the day.Would you really want to be laying him -effectively backing a 4/11 winner-wouldn’t be my idea of a long term sustainable strategy.

Good man Luke. Are u speaking from experience there from all your experiences with Jp on the track?? Unlikely I would’ve have thought.

He started off as a bookmaker and he accumulated his money from there as a bookmaker – in certain instances with other individuals representing him often going top price about a number of his own horses.

From there, he moved to backing. So in summary he began his tank from laying.

On the friday of the 2002 Grand National meeting I walked the course with an Irish bookmaker from my hometown(Waterford).JP used to bet with him in the early days but he was too hot to handle. He gave me chapter and verse on how deadly he was and strangely enough the coups mentioned weren’t at the big meetings.Later in the bar we were joined by the top man in a prominent Irish firm-the talk returned to the great man and its fair to say neither of the bookies was a fan.
Maybe he did some laying-I wasn’t aware of it but logic says he started as a punter.

Judged on yesterday – MWDS won’t get near Inglis Drever….

As a previous winner of the raceMWDS is more then entitled to take his chance.I have plenty of respect for Inglis Drever but he is beatable.

Zoso – if u believe Paddy Power or any other high street firm have the heads up on Jp’s runners u are sadly deluded my friend.

And Carvills he didn’t become a millionaire by backing anything, he got his tank together by laying. How do u think Frank Berry is still in a job!!?

JP most definitely got his tank by backing. He moved into billionaire class by virtue of his success with foreign currency trading and some excellent business deals.

The concession is a good one and personally I see a value bet in the race.

Rishi Persad is a joke but then again so is Zoe Bird.Personally I couldn’t care about the colour, gender or sexual orientation of a pundit as long as they are good at their job.

I am told that Snow Morning is being aimed at the Irish National-the person that told me is connected to the connections.

Tell me exactly why it is a disgrace. He is a Grade 1 winner who is entitled to take his chance next week. The Venn Ottery comparison is ridiculous, emotional rubbish.

I think we both know that he will be aimed at the OOM and he will get plenty of racing before the end of the season. If he was mine I would definitely go for it.

Fair play to you for understanding that he was trying to win to 79K prizemoney. If only you had told us before the race.

I couldn’t back him at the price-I could see Tamarinbleu setting off in front and running the race of his life.Having said that I think its a no bet race.
