Superb point Johnny boy.Robgomm it sound like you are accusing APOB of bring too good at his job.Another point was Summoner sent out to lose.
Rob presumably you disagree with stable second strings winning. Its a pity you are unaware of the history and tradition of the sport of kings.
Rob I think you should chill out a little bit.Summoner was trying at Ascot as was Maroof in the same race previously.Opening Verse very nearly gave Nashwan the slip in the Eclipse some years ago.If you cant accept pacemakers throwing an occasional surprise then you should take up something else-like knitting.
You haven’t addressed the issue of Dick Hern running pacemakers. He certainly did it in the race of the century Grundy /Bustino where he ran two pacemakers which I am also sure he did when Petoski attempted to win a second King George. It was a perfectly legitimate tactic to make it a true run race and a test of stamina.
£240,000 sterling for Magnus. The Ballydoyle outfit is a million years ahead of that mickey mouse outfit that specialises in claimers and sellers.
How can you put Legal Right in third -he was out on his feet at Aintree last April.Much as I would love to see him do well mid division is the best he can hope for.
Did those in the know back Londoner down to 6/1 for the Triumph.
There is nothing to suggest that Valiramix is a better horse then last season when he had some really good form.
Valiramix didn’t exactly go looking for Landing Light in the Christmas Hurdle.
I don’t think any horse has ever improved beyond all recognition after winning a Cheltenham Gold Cup.
It would be a sad day for racing if a handicapper like Shooting Light can win a Gold Cup.I know horses like Nortons Coin have won but surely not SL.
Cashmans have said they are prepared to lay Istabraq at 5/2 to lose £50,000.
I had a good bet on him yesterday and knowing the horse of old I kept saying to myself the further he goes the better he gets.I thought he was impressive in the end.My worry about the horse would be the first two fences at Cheltenham-he definitely needs time to warm up.
I thought Supreme Glory ran the most amazing National trial staying on very nicely without being punished.

February 6, 2002 at 11:13 in reply to: False favourite for Champion with next to impossible task? #94941If any horse is a false price surely its Valiramix. He won probably the worst Bula hurdle ever run.I was a big fan of the horse last year but I would say there is no evidence that he has improved dramatically-slight improvement probably.
The fact that he was a springer in the ante-post market before his seasonal reappearance and the Pipe/McCoy factor are responsible for him being so short in the market.
I would expect him to go close on Saturday if he runs but a hard race on Saturday wont exactly improve his Champion prospects.
Have you misinterpreted the information do you honestly think he didn’t step outside his box for 11 days.
Does anyone else find it odd that the person responsible for this (mis)information works for a bookmaker.
On the other forum it was claimed that Istabraq was doing all his preparation in the pool and under the ultra-violet lamp. The two claims are similar but I would be more inclined to believe that he is doing his preparation in the pool at the moment. If he had the last 11 days without any form of exercise surely he would have zero chance at Cheltenham.
