I was at Newbury a few years ago for their Oaks trial with my brother who had come over from Ireland. We wanted to go into the members enclosure -I was wearing a jacket and a shirt that cost about £80 at the time, the brother wearing smart casual.I was refused for not having a tie and the brother for wearing jeans. There were literally two men and a dog at the meeting.I liked Newbury but neither of us would go back.
Triple Aspect lacks tactical pace-I was amazed they ran him over 5 furlongs after his Sandown display.
John Magnier had 10 grand on Secreto for the Derby at 16/1 when he was the only danger to El Gran Senor.Victory for El Gran Senor would have meant the horse being syndicated for 40 million dollars.Sometimes the owner isonly too happy to see the insurance bet lose.

I get the Irish Field during the winter months. The tipping aspect of it is average at best. The big positive is an excellent piece by Ladbrokes man in Ireland which is really informative and the point to point coverage.Stable interviews can throw up a few gems.
Every single bet I do is laid off at a shorter price on betfair. Two of my bets were mentioned in trading post last year.Chomba Womba at 1.32 in the mares hurdle at the festival and Snowy Morning at 2.3 in the Grand National.
I know it didn’t win but didn’t Ladbrokes go 500/1 Terimon on the morning he finished second to Nashwan in the Derby.
Jocked off.
I think at the distance the winner was different class.
Its hard to leave betfair and the racing channels behind. My racing year is usually 2 days at Tramore,Gowran Park on Thyestes Day,one day of Punchestown,a couple of days at Leopardstown or the Curragh and the Paddy Power meeting at the Curagh. This year I am going to try and make it to Cork and Kilbeggan for the first time.

Ask the question on the betfair forum and there will be plenty of replies.
Matt tipped last seasons Scottish National winner (Iris de Balm)who was available at a 3 figure price up to about an hour before the race. Not the worst tipster
Does anyone know why cusomers in the Republic of Ireland pay about 70% more for RUK.
There’s HRTV and TVG for the true lovers of the game though Craig – and from what I hear they’re a darn site better than ATR and Racing UK (though lack special features).
ATR is in a different league to HRTV and TVG.
A enjoyable read -it made me laugh out loud a few times but in fairness its blog material as opposed to a book.
Personally I think its disgusting that they can decide not to offer the bet because it might be won.
