Does anyone in Ireland read this publication regularly ? If so, could you offer some thoughts on overall quality ?
I am approaching things from a bloodstock/breeding angle rather than as a punter and was thinking of taking a subscription out; but the weak pound makes it quite expensive now compared to a few months back.
Is it worth it do you think ?

February 5, 2009 at 20:25 #208329I buy it every week and while I really only glance over the Bloodstock & Breeding section overall I would say it is good value for money especially in comparison with the Weekender & Update.
Editorially it is a bit of a cheerleader for the Irish industry but there are excellent columns from Ladbrokes on-course Irish man and Donn McClean.February 5, 2009 at 20:27 #208330The landlord in the pub gets it, and whilst I have only read it a couple of times, I think it is very good.
February 5, 2009 at 21:13 #208340I buy a copy every time I go to Ireland (4-5 times a year) and it is excellent value, not least from the perspective of bloodstock & breeding.
How long does it take to arrive if sent by post?
I’d be very interested in a subscription, if they made it available online as a PDF like the Post do. Perhaps anyone from the I.F. reading this might give that some thought.
February 6, 2009 at 03:12 #208394I get the Irish Field during the winter months. The tipping aspect of it is average at best. The big positive is an excellent piece by Ladbrokes man in Ireland which is really informative and the point to point coverage.Stable interviews can throw up a few gems.
