Very keen on Elyaadi in the 3.45 at 12.

Keep an eye on the market i’d say it’ll be the best guide.Quite fancy her myself,I know the owners pretty well and if they fancy it there’ll be a bit of money going down, tried ring Micheal there and no luck getting through! Might back it anyway :?

Is no-one gonna say it? No? Ok, fine, I will.

The jockeys bar Ahern, Dickie Hills and Frankie should be ashamed of themselves. Utterly embarrassing. Overturn effectively became a 6/4 shot when they finished half a lap. People slate Richard Hills but at least he understands about pace in a race. Dettori tried to do it too but couldn’t go with them.

Fair enough he might’ve had the cop on not to let Ahern steal a big lead but when he was hanging on overturnss cloaktails, seemingly travelling better than overturn,i never had a seconds worry because i was that confident if Ahern had any horse under him at all he’d hold off Hills-he’s that weak in a finish!

Desperate mistake by the young lad and deserves a hefty ban, just hope he learns from it but it doesn’t effect him in future-he is very promising!

Does anybody fancy Hughies Grey? Don’t know much about him, but if topweight runs he’ll have a nice weight at 10.9.

My Gran just asked me to put 5 each way on it for her so you’re not alone, although she is just backng it because her husband was called hughie and her son is

I think it all depends how the other horse runs-if he wins you might get your money back or win single on it but if it doesn’t you’re on a loser!

I’m pretty certain beautiful sound will get in,there’s bound to be at least 1 dropout and then if push comes to shove he could take backstage out(if the owners ok it of course) as regards Russell the racingpost has his lowest riding weight in past 12 months as 10st 8 so that covers that,he’d have to starve for a month!

I’ve a feww quid on Beautiful sound to try and recoup my losses after that ‘ride’ Maguire gave it at Cheltenham  !

I see Carberry’s booked to ride which i’m delighted about but just wondering why Rusell’s not riding with him beng Gigginstowns retained rider?Presume it’s to do with the weight as someone the height of Davy would i presume have a desperate struggle making it,or is there more to it? :?

Big fan of young Peter Carberrys, horses running through the blood of that family!I’ve been impressed by young Kielan Woods in the few races i seen him ride in!In Ireland there’s a young gasson i’ve been following for the last year or so and has ridden a good few winners, reminds me of Paul Carberry, Keith donoghue always seems to have a horse settled really well and travelling strongly, really think he could be top drawer! :D

Desperately harsh to blame Thornton,he was cajoling the horse and trying to kick on before steps to freedom went passed him whilst still on the bridle and as soon as Paul got serious he pulled away readily and could’ve won by more if he wanted! But i would say that because i was on the winner! :D

I backed Jessies dream way back at big prices and was happy enough with the place (would’ve been ecstatic with the win),i felt Murphy gave the horse a good ride, maybe got to the front a few strides too early but at the same time if he left it until half way up the run in and didn’t get up he’d be getting cursed, but a lot of other punters i’ve been talking to who backed him said he gave the horse a desperate ride?
I’d like to hear opinions from some of you with more knowledge than myself(I’ve only been following racing for 9-10 years and have never ridden on a racecourse)am i just not being critical enough or are the others talking out of their pockets?

In fairness the bet was only for 1k apparently! That would be a big bet for someone like myself earning 60k a year not for Nicky Henderson i’d safely say he just did it to lessen the blow if none of his horses did win!

JESSIES DREAM To win RSA Chase 12/1 Boylesports

Won the Drinmore Novice when Mikael’D Haguent fell at last it been intresting who would of won if he did not fall as i think this horse is a tough sort. And though lost last time out i see a big improvement from horse on day of RSA

I’m with you on this 1,Elliott cant speak highly enough of this horse,he told me when jessies dream won at Galway the horse was only half fit and he feels the horse is an absolute machine and the best he’s trained!I got on then at 25’s so could be a nice payday! :D

I’ve a small e/w bet on both bold optimist because i like Elliott and he thinks the horse is going to be top drawer and also Cheltenian, given a terrible ride in his only race and subsequently sold for around 200k  so big things are obviously expected, trained by Philip hobbs now and holds an entry friday at Kempton so i’ll be interested in seeing how he runs!

I’d just like to take a moment to give credit to a
great performance by siegemaster and Davy Russell,Russell had the horse up at the business end early but then decided to switch the horse off and drop him back and settle into a rhythm and save a bit for the finish.
He timed his run excellently and then both horse and jockey did well to hang on from a fast finishing midnight club, i may be just talking through my pocket as i had a few pound on would like to know what neutrals have to say!?

Paddy Flood on who do you think was unbelievably strong in the finish today also-what an under rated jockey in my eyes!

Seems daft logic for a punter to follow FTM – if he gets in your on at 16/1 and if he doesn’t you get a refund.

There’s no downside to taking the early price – there is a downside to taking unders though.

Ok i’ll try explain again, there have been times in the past where horses have got into races as reserves and landed gambles!Elliot has done this before! Once Beautiful sound did get in his odds were cut and some punters may have felt there was a gamble going on again and decided to get on,the shorter the odds got the more people felt a big gamble was going on and hence the snowball effect!
