Like Not That Fuisse – who looks to have been laid out for this – and Amoola Gold.

Still hoping Put The Kettle On can carry on the proud tradition of Arkle winners in this race. Also think First Flow is still too big a price.

Would have loved to have seen Royal Pagaille do this, but Next Destination looks like a righteous winner.

Metier for me – Appreciate It reminds me a little bit too much of Dunguib, so I’m going for the British horse with the best form.
I’ve also had my obligatory silly price ew Supreme bet on Grumpy Charlie, just because he fits more trends than you might think.

I’m hoping my 12s on Honeysuckle Antepost comes good. I feel pretty confident.

Dreal Deal – who I thought had a really good chance – out of this. Bum.

Looks like he’s joining the RP.
On the one hand, I’m pleased he’s got a job, on the other hand, I’m worried he’ll be hemmed in by the RP’s stance.

Hmm, Clive, it wouldn’t be one particular nine-year-old Facebook page, would it? A hive of chippiness and whataboutery, mixed in with a dose of one-sided Irish nationalism, that one.

My bets so far, some were placed during, or just after, the last festival, some have been more recent. I’m sure there’ll be more. There are also some multiples.
Dreal Deal (Supreme)
Shishkin (Arkle)
Honeysuckle (Champion Hurdle)
Monkfish (TAFKARSA)
Put The Kettle On/First Flow (Champion Chase)
Envoi Allen (any race)
Champ/Frodon (Gold Cup)BlueSky @pghenn.bsky.social

The one question that no one’s answered is who’s the horse. Any ideas?

As someone who doesn’t read the Grauniad, but always looked at it’s racing column online, I was genuinely devastated by this news.
I don’t want to harp on too long, but racing needs journalists like Chris Cook – people who side with punters over bookies and who aren’t afraid to question and critique trainers, jockeys, owners, and the racing establishment.
You get nothing but supplication and sycophancy from the Racing Post (that dreadful “jockey in the stands” column from about 10 years ago STILL sticks in the craw), but you got proper public interest journalism from Chris Cook. I really hope he stays in journalism and stays out of the trade press.

The November Handicap.
It takes place long after the rest of us have stopped caring about the flat, yet it stinks up the schedule and gets in the way just as the NH season proper is kicking off.

I think Roaring Bull is a better horse than his price suggests and I will be very interested in Aforementioned and Smoking Gun if they get in.

I think Main Fact is far too big, and is carrying my each way bet.

It seems to be risky betting against Regal Encore at Ascot, so he’s ripe for some each way thievery.

It goes ahead, and I think 12s about Melon might be decent value.

Honeysuckle wouldn’t have to give her 7lbs…
