Personally, i think it really matters who took the photo. They too would have known that it was wrong but they’ve kept the image for over four years. If this is someone else still closely involved in racing, then we need to know.

I love Racing but just listened to his full statement and it’s all lawyer speak. Whatever happened to the days where, when people were found out they turned round and said “i was stupid, i should never have done it, i’m sorry etc” this just shows a lack of contrition but I suppose this is what the lawyers advised him to release. Whatever happens in the future, regardless if this is a total one-off, all i will see of him now is a smiling man astride a dead horse.

Interesting to see whether Chris Cook is on the Racing Debate this weekend! As i read up about Shamsa (and a huge sackful of salt required as it was reported in the Mail) but his dad may have turned a blind eye to her abduction it as a favour to the sheikh.

Naturally agree with a lot of other posts in reference to Wayward Lad and no one will ever dissuade me that Ten Plus wouldn’t have won if he hadn’t have fallen at the third last.

Whatever happens this afternoon i hope commentators don’t go too much over the top if Enable wins, especially being the first six year old, first to win three etc. Yes she would be the first but how many have seriously tried in the past that had a realistic chance of winning, apart from Treve. Also we are left with nearly half the field aged six and over this afternoon, combined with conditions we’d normally see for the Midlands National (judging by the way they were spread out in the Cadran yesterday) and a Gold Cup winner as second favourite! An Arc is still an Arc but to me a very diluted one this year. Don’t have any firm choices for the race, maybe in swoop or sottsass, but always sit up and take note whenever a certain Mr A Fabre runs anything in the race. Might not see out the trip in this ground but if he thought that may be the case then surely he would have pulled it out for another day; a watching brief for me.

And with 14 out of the 19 entries, another nice payday for the O’Brien family!

Wholeheartedly agree. We know the specific races in which we should just see what messers Mullins, Elliot and Henderson are running and take it from there. We should also all save up our pennies and regardless of the price dive in to back the Irish having the most winners.

Totally agree VTC with regard to Man of Plenty. Followed this horse for the last few years and it may be 11 but has run well in these races in the past. Down to it’s lowest mark for ages and Brennan on board. Trainer has normally put a good conditional up but think the horse may have been aimed at this for a while, as he hasn’t run for a couple of months (normally races pretty frequently). Hard to see him winning but will be held up dead last and pick them off up the straight and possibly run into a place.

I hope all the people that have knocked Bristol in the past give him his credit. Yes, he might not go on but boy that was a fantastic performance

Nausered, you’re entitled to your opinion but you can’t say sea of Class would have been nowhere! this is a horse having just her sixth every run in what i consider the top race in europe, better even than the Derby in my eyes. Fair play to Enable she’s one hell of a horse but so is sea of class now. i’m just happy to have watched a great race.

Spot on Ham, Frankie can now have his ride in the Champion, as well as the ride on Lah Ti Dar at Ascot, after successfully have that one re-routed from the Vermeille and a possibly crack at the Arc.

Totally agree with you LD73, and you know there wouldn’t be any hesitation if Enable picked up an injury and was forced to miss the race.

Appreciate that but surely with amount of money on offer, like the Grand Prix de Paris yesterday, there’s at least some trainers in Britain who would like to target these races; It seems a no brainer, very good prize money, appropriate ground and not a million miles away.

Where’s the roar??? Got in from work, watched the Hunt cup and approaching the two furlong pole expected the noise of the crowd to intensify but it’s like ITV have got the mute button on!
