I hope all the people that have knocked Bristol in the past give him his credit. Yes, he might not go on but boy that was a fantastic performance

Native River has also run well considering he was being niggled at a long long way out and looked the first beat – a stiffer test of stamina needed on that type of ground.

It worked hanging onto your shirtails the Nausered, I’m so happy to see him beat
“the big boys” on a level playing field. As it happens I could have got better
than the 7s on the day, but I’m more than happy with that. I can hear Joe and Jac
    shouting from here :yahoo:

Naus..I meant well done with Politilogue and If The Cap Fits :good: :good:
Bristol De Mai loves his Haydock and what Matt Chapman said on the Opening Show this morning about second run after his wind operation made a lot of sense, he must have been struggling prior to that so who knows what is to come… What a beauty :yahoo:

Well done BigG and Jac!! Top stuff. BigG, I am on a crazy roll, long may it continue.

Cheer on the Nicholls horse here at Haydock in the next if you’ve not had a bet, he wins me a lot of money if he wins.

    Great race, well done all.

Joe, thought of you the minute he passed the post, and hope the detective work lead you to having a wee bit extra on.

And then the luck ran out. I’ve had an incredible day (again), so one must not grumble.

    Have a fantastic evening all.

I’m always forgetting that we saw BdM run at Leicester in his novice days and it was obvious by connections behaviour that they thought he was a bit special. Nice that Sam had a good day elsewhere. I do like it when PN’s cast off jockeys do well.

Interesting to note that Johnson said Native River was in top gear from the start, curious that Tizzard said that he thinks the horse would be better off having 4 or 5 races before the Gold Cup rather than just one but said there are not that many races for him to do that – indeed you would have to be looking at running in the KG, Cotswold & Denman Chases in order to do it.

IF NR runs in The Cotswold I will lay him for the Gold Cup – graveyard race
