I’m getting more and more tempted with a GW / Echo of Light double …
I don’t think it’s really to do with "putting his jumping under pressure", more that some days he just doesn’t seem to be "right". Not a great counter-argument really, is it?!
However, BoS seems to struggle in large fields, but this is not true of Our Vic, who has won the Paddy Power.
Would be great to see him run a few consistent chases in a row as he has as much class as any chaser, imho.
At close to 10/1, George W has to be a bet. IF he takes to the surface, that’s going to look very, very generous. I think 10/1 is more than value for that unknown.
I really don’t think GW will have any trouble staying the extra 2 furlongs.
Hurricane Run really has the look of a horse who has lost both his sparkle and interest.
Scorpion is interesting if the ground comes up quick, but I’m finding it hard to compare US v European form – the joys of the Breeders cup ;)
Agree it’s very hard to know who’ll be fit, etc and of course Chilling Plac is very well handicapped based on that race from last year.
However, taking potential improvement into consideration, I think Racing Demon is a cracking each way bet at 4.9 win/2.05 pl or so on BF. Would be surprised if he finished out of first 3.
I read those comments in the RP today … obviously everyone’s entitled to their opinions but you would need to have little or no understanding of horse racing to come out with a statement like that.
Flabbergasted :o
Ha. I remember the "You don’t know what it’s like in London" attitude which rambled through the last thread.
Having to listen to people who deemed taking the tube to be unsafe, and how every muslim is a potential terrorist…blah blah.
I think people need to relax. Michael Ryan knows:biggrin:
Luke,
On the previous thread about this case, certain people got hysterical, and started almost comparing Carberry to a terrorist. The events of 7th July were also brought up.
Somehow. People wanted to say "You don’t know what it’s like if you were living in London, afftected by terrorism".
Typical, not at all over-the-top reaction ;)
Interesting. Unfortunately, I’m at work now so won’t be able to see the post till this evening – can anyone fill me in on what JW’s article is about?
Thanks,
Andrew
Hmmm … custard creams :cheesy:
It’s £3 a month … why is this even a discussion point?
Sorry
Aside from anything else, why would the readers of the racing post want to read a harshly written anecdote about someone only maybe 50/60 readers yesterday out of how many thousand had heard of???
Great Story:biggrin:
DJ,
So essentially what you are saying is you would rather TJM whip the horse even when he knows it won’t make any difference just so you will see with your eyes it ran it’s race??
Are you serious
He’s great. Just look at his tips and then cross them out.
Makes life much easier ;)
Seriously though, think of how much better the weekender would be if they had Dave Nevison writing in that page. Anyone else read/enjoy him in the RFO?
Clive,
If you hadn’t mentioned it before, it wouldn’t be hard to guess you were a Chelsea fan.
Just that you sort of fit that profile.
FYI, Highbury is no longer a football stadium
