An air of desperation perhaps?
Irish Guineas then SJP please!
Or solve mysteries in ancient Rome?
Never was in that particular fan club, but think WI may spring another Macarthur next year in the Ormonde.
Poulains: Georgebernardshaw – 2 pts win
Pouliches: Psalm – 1 pt e/w
The Musidora should be some race – really looking forward to it! Hope Moonstone runs well.
Also will look forward to Waltz getting to the track – hope she can be as good as her mum.
Thanks everyone for all your info on this thread.
No sir, Miles, a little knowledge of ancient Egyptian history tells you that Nefertiti was a lady!
Psalm tomorrow.
Zarkava for the Diane.

I keep her in very high regard considering her debut performance was one where she clearly stayed on with vigour and great determination. From a debut run she can only improve tenfold from there.
Pedigree may have her inclined to run over a Yorkshire Oaks distance though, instead of the 1m4f but we wait and see what unfolds.
Which filly is the relation to Yesterday and umm … I forget the others and RP is being a little rat ATM.

Queen Of The Night in the Musidora noms?
Queen of the Night is not in the Musidora, myles. Agree her debut was very promising. As Falbrav’s half sister, she did well on soft (he loved it fast) and made up lots of ground in a 10-furlong race. Would seem to bode well for future runs at 12f – which btw is the Yorkshire Oaks distance as well. Epsom seems unlikely now since she hasn’t been entered into any of the trials. Pretty Polly/Irish Oaks?
Hold Me Love Me (Sadler’s Wells/Jude by Darshaan) is the full sister of Quarter Moon, Yesterday and All My Loving. She’s shown nothing in 3 runs thus far and is entered in an apprentice handicap next week.
Even before her debut, Moonstone has been my hope for the Oaks but from sentiment rather than anything else – I loved her half sister (or is it 3/4?) L’Ancresse, as I’ve written on another thread. I also have high hopes for Dalakhani’s success at stud.
The Musidora field looks worthy of an Oaks with Dar Re Mi, Moonstone, Prima Luce, Lush Lashes and Cape Amber.
Classic stuff, great triumph, great tragedy.
Congratulations, Big Brown and associates. RIP Eight Belles- gallant girl.
Right you are, andy, you’ve certainly convinced me!
And now that they’ve got a Classic-winning son of Kingmambo they’re all the merrier!
2000: Ibn Khaldun
1000: Savethisdanceforme
Both to win.
Only that he doesn’t seem to act on Polytrack. Backers of Pyro are assuming he’ll be back on form on the dirt.
With Big Brown stuck in stall 20 (he may have to be a superhorse to overcome that draw), things look to be going Colonel John’s way. But I agree with Badactor that Monba is very interesting.
According to Jim McGrath in the Telegraph, Murtagh will ride Henry and Kinane will be on Plan. Jupiter uncertain runner. Not in Racing Post yet, so is this rumour or information?
Behindatthebar non-runner which lets Denis of Cork in. Denis won at Churchill last year and has a live chance.
Colonel John in sizzling form (seems to be fine on dirt), but will it be Big Brown’s big day?

I would be pretty annoyed if my trainer recommended selling my horse without exploring all the options, and that horse went on to Group 1 glory and a potentially lucrative stud career.
Especially since Archipenko is by Kingmambo. Of course they will have Thewayyouare in future, but we don’t yet know whether he’s trained on.
Well done, MD!
What’s the betting Coolmore are grinding their teeth they didn’t hang on to him? I’ve got loads of respect for AOB, but how is it De Koch could do what he apparently couldn’t?
Thanks, Sal. I put Minkova’s name into the RP’s search facility and came up with nothing. Does this mean she’s not in training and out to the paddocks already?
Moonstone second on her debut btw.
