I agree Ghaiyyath won’t want it too soft but I think GS shouldn’t inconvenience him too much and hopefully it will be good or good (good to soft in places) rather than softer.
Kameko has never even raced on worse than good. Magical and Lord North would be the ones who would appreciate the cut.
Could be a very close race especially if it does come up soft.
Ghaiyyath for me with Kameko e/w (antepost so got 3 places).
Whoooshhhh!
Thanks for flagging that 3/1 up @FinalFurlong91. Nice 6.2/1 Double with Magical in the Tatersalls gold cup. Laid off my stake at 11/10 so still got paid out around 5/1. Happy days!
Mohaather V Palace Pier will be some race.
I have backed Palace Pier antepost but have laid off for a free bet as I think he’s far too short now at 11/10 on this ground which is an unknown.
Seems its still not decided where Kameko will go.
Kameko still in the French race after the forfeit stage.
Managed to get a small each way bet on at 8/1. Then realized that was a huge price but Kameko’s odds cut from 8/1 > 5/1 on betfair sportsbook in the time it took me to walk back to my PC so didn’t have time to go in again.
Suprised with the 8/1 to be honest.
Ghaiyyath to win Kameko E/W. This could be an absolute cracker.
I love this race as it usually falls the weekend of my birthday and I used to go when I lived quite close to Haydock.
Hello Youmzain looks a cracking each way bet for this at 6/1 . Two of his best runs have come at Haydock winning this last year and hammering Calyx in a Group 2.
Made up for his below par run in the July Cup with a nice 2nd yesterday in the Prix Maurice de Gheest.
Looks like he will be targeted at this race. Handles any ground. Oxted looks very good but not sure he’d want it soft unlike Hello Youmzain having won this on soft last year.
Will have a small e/w play antepost I think.
Tell you what Hello Youmzain was a crazy price too.
Space Blues 4/1 for Prix De La Foret at he Arc Meeting.
Seems more than fair price.
Kameko as big as 8/1, I am sure I read this was his new target. Price seems huge I would have him as 3/1 2nd fav.
Is he a definite intended runner?
I am already on Palace Pier but would back Kameko e/w too at this price.
Edit: Just found the trainer quote from August 7th: ”“He is due to work on Saturday and we will take it from there, but we will make a decision in the middle of next week.”
Winner looked very good.
I backed earthlight but could not believe his sp of 10/11 – madness.Took the 11/4 as flagged up by FF but have cashed a little out so have a small bet now at effectively 3/1.
Earthlight too short now considering the competition.
Looks a cracker of a race!Agree with that. 11/4 very nice price.
Edit: Have backed it now.
Starting to get very tempted about Fancy Blue for this. Small amounts of 28.0 available on Betfair today. Worth a small bet I think.
To be fair I am a bit biased as I had her as one to follow this season (on breeding) but somehow managed to talk myself out of backing her in any races apart from a double where the first leg lost

I am huge fanboy of Deep Impact (I thought he was a good thing in Rail Links Arc) and also a fan of High Chaparral (Fancy Blue’s Dam a full sister). 1m 4f should bring about further improvement and she seems really tough and straightforward.
The Nassau form looks decent with the likes of older horses Magic Wand and Nazeef (ran strange race) behind.
I really like her, 3 year old fillies have a good record in the race and I think 25+/1 is good value.
Thanks for flagging up this bet. On at 3/1 as second leg of a double.
All over Ghaiyyath for this as previously posted but 10/1 kameko certainly a great price and might have a small bet on him also.
I read an article I think from Pricewise a few years ago saying its strange why more trainers don’t target this race with their 3 year olds considering the huge WTA allowance. I believe this year is an extra 2 or 3 lbs also because of the timing (before August 1st).
Finafurlong91 you say Santiago should be fav on ratings – don’t you believe in any WFA to make it even? Or how many lbs? Normally 2 horses with same OR (one 3 years old one 5 years old) would theoretically have an even chance even with the WFA.
Watching only race for me but definitely interesting to see what happens/.
