Get in Palace!
August 16, 2020 at 14:55 #1497401nice one, great spot!
August 16, 2020 at 14:58 #1497404Great stuff and a great price
Won that easily in the end
The mile division is suddenly one of the best divisions
Alpine star very unlucky to bump into something out of the ordinary, most years she’d be a very impressive winner of that
Palace pier vs mohaather will hopefully happen at some point either in the moulin, QE2 or breeders cup mile
Big fan of both but I’d definitely be siding with palace pier
He could be the best miler we’ve seen since his dad
August 16, 2020 at 15:07 #1497405Whoooshhhh!
Thanks for flagging that 3/1 up @FinalFurlong91. Nice 6.2/1 Double with Magical in the Tatersalls gold cup. Laid off my stake at 11/10 so still got paid out around 5/1. Happy days!
Mohaather V Palace Pier will be some race.
August 16, 2020 at 15:08 #1497406I think we’ve a new superstar for the mile division which is great. Mohaather is obviously also very good, but i think PP is superb.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!August 16, 2020 at 15:13 #1497407Palace Pier could easily go up to 10 furlongs if they want.
August 16, 2020 at 15:26 #1497410Great run from Alpine Star there. I know they’re stepping Kameko up this week but I’m really hoping they all come together on good ground for Ascot. Kameko/Palace Pier/Mohaather/Siskin let’s see who the best miler is on champions Day!
Easy to say it now but what the hell were the bookies playing at opening PP up at 3/1 for that?! They must’ve taken a bit of a hammering, although maybe not a big betting heat? Good for us though
August 16, 2020 at 15:52 #1497413QE11 the main target Gosden says.
I’d say we’d be lucky to see good ground at Ascot given the past few years Frenchy, but god knows with the weather!
Hopefully King of Change runs as well, would make it very interesting.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!August 16, 2020 at 16:05 #1497416Love the way he hits a little flat spot mid race then when asked for an effort he takes off like a rocket
He is clearly a very good horse as he put that to bed in a handful of strides
Going past very solid yardsticks like romanised and circus maximus like they were class 6 handicappers
August 16, 2020 at 17:44 #1497428Happy get on 3/1 with PP and thought Alpine Star would run well and she did to
August 16, 2020 at 21:52 #1497451Nice win but I was going to double my stake and missed the price. Palace Pier must be the best 1 mile horse in Europe. Well Done everybody who backed him.
August 16, 2020 at 22:12 #1497453By the end of the season I could see him having a 130+ official rating
Then hopefully he stays in training at 4 and targets the prince of Wales, eclipse, juddmonte and champion stakes
Would certainly make sense for connections to keep him in training and try to get some 10f group 1 wins on his CV for stallion fee purposes
August 16, 2020 at 23:18 #1497459FF I agree. And if he stays in training next year I will be on him.
August 16, 2020 at 23:18 #1497460Again the post duplicated.
August 16, 2020 at 23:24 #1497461WH is taking no chance with Palace Pier, they were 7/1 for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes but after the win today 7/4. No value. I think they got stung today when Palace Pier won.
August 17, 2020 at 00:27 #1497469Well done Darren; Final Furling the Mikes and all winners. 3/1
terrific price.
Happy to say I swapped him into my Tote Ten Follow today.
