Overpass is some horse , I wouldn’t want to be on anything else to beat him , experienced , tough and very very fast .

We all know that Australian sprinters need to be respected, but Overpass is eight, hasn’t won since November 2024 and isn’t exactly miles ahead on ratings. At a best price of 5-2, he doesn’t look great value to me, even though he may well win.

Rayevka looked an improved filly on her reappearance in the Prix de Saint-Georges, bursting clear impressively from an unpromising position, and I’ve taken the 6s.

8 Northern time, only turns 8 real time on Sept . His last 4 runs have been massive , within two lengths of KYR . Close up in big sprints , Baker don’t muck about , hoping he shows his best anyway .

Totally left field selection here in a race which demonstrates that the current crop of sprinters are rather ordinary. Azure Angel recorded only 1lb under the best last time out Topspeed figure of these and is a ‘doesn’t have to be right very often’ selection at 150/1 e/w 4 places 1/5 odds.

Win selection is Rayevka 8/1, solid enough form at Group level and has progressed in recent runs.
