Should be a fascinating race, MD priced accordingly, unlucky at Fairyhouse a couple of weeks ago. I do think that Noble Prince may give him a race and is a viable each way alternative.

The Hurricane’s price gets shorter, even though he beat the same horses again, rather over rated horses, Solwhit is not a 160+ horse IMO. Whilst he was visually impressive, again, the Irish Hurdlers are not the best. I see some firms have HF prices at 7/2, it’s a very short price about a horse who has not travelled outside Ireland in over two years.

Judging by his win at Navan, I think Big Zeb is better than ever. I will be surprised if he doesn’t confirm the form with Golden Silver.

I was a huge fan of CB last year, however I don’t think he will make the step up.

    EDIT
Although McKierenans stable is sure to have been held up during the weather unless he has alternative facilities available

    Nulty,

McKiernans stable looked far from held up after the first fall of snow. His horses looked quite fit at Cork on December 12th, I think his horse will win the first, Changing Times.

I think Quito will win the Fort Leney.

This will be a tough test of stamina if it goes ahead tomorrow, wouldn’t like to see Cooldine pulling hard early on, as he may not get home.

I am a big fan of Glencove Marina who should love the ground being out of a Turtle Island mare, very lightly raced due to leg troubles in the past. He will carry my eway cash tomorrow.

The supporting card is not bad either, I think Quito De La Roque in the 125 has a decent chance, he won over hurdles in an absolute bog at Fairyhouse’s Easter Festival. Made a nice debut over fences at Clonmel earlier this month, though it is a very hot race.

I think Summit Meeting is a good each way bet, third at Down Royal, and will be better for returning to 2m 4f.

Glencove Marina is a very talented horse, who has had his problems, 6 starts, four wins over fences. I am hoping he displays the talent I always thought he had.

Cannot see past Zaidpour, just under even money on Betfair, looks a great price IMO.

I think the proximity of Starluck enhances the form of the Fighting Fifth hurdle. I think Starluck ran up to his rating of 160 at Newbury, he is much better on a flat track. The time was not that brilliant, so he really did have conditions in his favour. Peddlers Cross is much better suited to racing at a strong pace, I also think he is better at Cheltenham.

I admit, I am biased as I think Peddlers is the one they all have to beat in March. However, I certainly would not discount Binocular who put in a fantastic performance last March. I think Menorah has kept improving and could potentially improve again. I think it will between these three horses if they turn up fit and well in March.

I don’t want to tempt fate Kasp but isn’t that a bit Irish?

Not trying to be overly PC here, but one could consider that comment as quite offensive.

Especially if this is another post to stir up the [expletive] with Fist………your some kiddy!

Certainly not a wind up, I don’t find your suggestion that Irish people are stupid very funny. I am certainly not obsessed with you personally but I do find great amusement in some of the idiotic posts you contribute, and completely arrogant manner you convey them. I will continue to try and add some semblance of balanced arguments to this forum as I have in the eight years I have been a member on this forum. If you don’t like it you can ignore my posts, I won’t be ignoring yours as I have already stated I get great amusement out of them, happy posting.

    Fist,

I now think your inability to understand arguments is legendary. Where have I said that Menorah will win the Champion Hurdle? My argument is questioning your statement about Hobbs even contemplating sending him for one in March. You say we assume that Menorah is Champion Hurdle class, that is based on his official rating, which I think maybe higher than the 162 he was allotted before the International, not an assumption as such.

Very ambitious target running him in the Irish National IC.

Hopefully Hidden Universe runs at the Christmas meeting.

    TAPK,

Why does every thread have to descend into you banging on about the horses you have backed and won? I can name three threads that started out as intelligent debate about a subject, only for you to sprout on about your strike rate or successful exploits in the Ante Post market.

I congratulate you in your successful punts, and in no way am I jealous of your profits, however banging on about it all the time is rather boring.

On that basis we could have have written off Menorah when he got beaten by Lush Life at Ascot last season. I myself won’t be writing him off just yet, considering he is a novice and novices are entitled to improve.

    IC,

Visually impressive yes, however, he pulled so hard, and to still win in that manner, impressed me!

What a performance by Mossey Joe, pulled for the entire race and won on the bridle over 3m in a hack canter. Wonder what price for the Albert Bartlett?

Willie Austin has said he will go chasing, good horse it has to be said…
