A bit off topic but Jamie Codd rode Galvin at Down Royal but he’s not ridden since 18th December and Russell was up today. Anyone know what’s the story with Jamie ?

Race declared void that time but DeBromhead or the owner (don’t remember which) challenged it in court and got the prize money.
In fairness, he came out and said it as he saw it. https://twitter.com/rpdarkhorse/status/1475118681369817096
I’m late sticking me oar in here but did anyone see that clown Chapman sticking the microphone on the pole at Jacamar and the horse rearing up and Chapman comes out with “He’s frisky”. At least Danny Mullins put him in his place and took the small microphone to do the interview.
I wonder did daddy tell him to wind it in.
Tom Scudamore on the back foot now ???
@Robnorth – I watched that Marias Lad race and saw the gamble. Now will the handicapper raise him for falling because there was money for it in the morning ?

Absolute twaddle.
Baldy clearly needs the £6.
Purely speculative- what next from the PJA or the jockeys ?
A “strike” as show of strength or would it end up as only further entrenching the differences ? Cheltenham, the spiritual capital of UK jump racing is on tomorrow……….
Yes Ian Bartlett in the big race today “THERE ARE TWO FENCES TO JUMP”, yeah we fecking know…..
Yes agreed.
When I marked the board in the 1990s I can recall two horses called “WINGED VICTORY” in the one race ?
EDIT 25 May 1994, one ran in the 7.50 at Newbury and the other ran in the 8.20, both coming second.

https://www.racingpost.com/results/36/newbury/1994-05-25/119232Rule 25 though……….
“After a Race has been declared ‘Off’, a Jockey must not remount a horse unless:
they have been assessed by a Racecourse Medical Officer; and
their horse has been examined by a Veterinary Surgeon.”
Should she have jumped off, stood next to the horse and called for the above and had her and the horse declared fit ?
RE Saturday- A flat track for Mister Allegro anyone ? Don’t think the Nicholls horse would have ever beaten the winner.
I find a certain glee when someone buys a racing post and leaves it behind in the pub after racing. Plenty ammunition for lining my food waste caddy for a few months.
Skelton not covering himself in glory on Cadzand RIP today either….
HDLG If Bryony got first dibs
on everything from Nicholls and they won Champion Hurdle, Gold Cup and GN would she then be as good as Rachel ? Rachel had a long dry spell after Cheltenham IIRC…..- AuthorPosts
