The starter should be sacked, starting NH races is now a standing joke, walking in from 200 yards from the starter, dropping the flag while horses 50 plus yards from the starter. Why did we not hear from Danny Mullins? why did the other jockeys not push forward? apart from Danny. Why didn’t the stewards look into the whole race? {“The Burning bush, Willie saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Willie thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”}
Was it the same starter who called false start to 6 horse flat race?
December 28, 2021 at 18:47 #1575216Starter error. There should have been no need for a false start, he should never have started the race in the first place. If he had been alert and on the ball he would have seen the winner trotting up when he pressed the button.
I’ve seen the bloke for years, he has a laxadaisacal attitude, often slouching on his rostrum when starting a race.
There’s one or two moderate starters over here as well but it seems once they’ve got the job they’ve got it for life.December 28, 2021 at 19:22 #1575227Not the starting stalls Dante again lol

December 28, 2021 at 21:33 #1575256I will raise it and mildly annoy people at every opportunity.
I’d have starting stalls for a human marathon!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 28, 2021 at 21:40 #1575258I’m talking through the money in my pocket but I reckon the winner always had flooring covered , ID be surprised if he didn’t fin in front of him at Cheltenham again , potentially another race to look forward to if champ does stay hurdling
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 28, 2021 at 21:43 #1575259You might be right, but a fair race would have been preferable. There should be no need to speculate. Today was a disgrace. Typical of Irish racing.

December 28, 2021 at 21:51 #1575262I backed the winner and I think I was VERY lucky.
Wasn’t at all impressed with how hard the winner had to work given that absolute gift at the start.

Race declared void that time but DeBromhead or the owner (don’t remember which) challenged it in court and got the prize money.
