I’d be inclined to forgive Action for his tardy seasonal debut at Sandown and he looks a bit of value accordingly today. Not the easiest ride with that slightly high head carriage but he is a big rangey sort so Newmarket’s undulations and Sandown’s contours may not have suited him much. Should have no excuses today given a patient ride in the broad expanse of the Knavesmire.

Arc Ole Ole (5:15) is the final one I’m waiting for.May 14, 2026 at 16:21 #1766778A big jump from his first two runs – was a bit fresh early on but I liked the way he travelled and finished off the race as it looked like Action was going to give him a battle but he pulled away from him the further they went whilst still looking a little green in front.
Interesting that he almost halved in price minutes before the start of the race so someone clearly knew something – he will come on for the run being his seasonable debut and it will be interesting to see how he handles Epsom especially the prelims.
May 14, 2026 at 16:28 #1766779Thanks again Wilts, RTB, zilzal and sergeantcecil
