Hello,
I think they have every right to demonstrate…Peacefully, I have discussed, listened to their arguments…and being a racing fan, generally dismissed them !! :) No problem….
It is interesting that there is very little way of demonstration outside Boxing Arenas where human beings are battering each other senseless for the enjoyment of the crowd???
Anyway, don’t let these people, who are really quite nice, ruin a magnificent week’s entertainment…Chill..:)

Hello
A lady rider called Polly Gundry has excellent form in thses types of races. Not sure she goes under the Gundry name now, married me thinks.
But agree Barber/Gundry combination is worth looking at, if still going. ;)

Hello,
Good ole Nat King Cole slowie….
"When I fall In Compliance…."
It is a presumptious little piece, predicting the downfall of a certain horse!
Or that old Motown goodie…
"Knowhere to Run, Knowhere to Hide…." :(
Yep, let’s hope he runs!

Hello,
I respect your opinion DS, but is it really "Impossible" to run in two races’ in two days??
OK, the races’ are top drawer and no way would I suggest anything to harm a horse, but these animals are hardy beasts, well fed and kept.
In the past, horses have been asked to carry out enormous tasks in comparison to today’s cossetted racehorse fraternity, and they did so quite successfully…farms, pulling, cavalry etc.
I know I am not comparing like with like, comparing work/military animals to racehorses, nor am I advocating returning to the bad old days’ of animal cruelty, but I am trying to make the point the equine community are a very hardy bunch and can offer a hell of a lot more than we think.
Hello,
BJK : he stopped too quick for my liking LTO. The way he runs I thought he would of suited soft down to the ground.
The winner for me will be KASBAH BLISS, coming to the last on the bridle last time with a big weight and a inexperienced jockey, he faded on the run in.
A better jockey, better going, I think he will get the 3m at Cheltenham comfortably

Hello,
Unfortunately, [or fortunately] I never keep records!!
All historic data regarding horses’, races’ etc. is available thru the net on loads of sites which we all use, so I don’t see any reason for duplicating the information that has been collated by someone else, and probably better!
Keeping a written record of the value of bets struck, winnings and losses is a definite No! No! :)
If you win, enjoy :) ,
If you lose, :( ., Get over it!
Overall there will be a time when you will be in an overall loss, and it will be the time you choose to peruse your "records"…why torture yourself with bad news!
You can get yourself down by digesting the Utility Bills and other day to day arse aches!
Why on earth should you compare a great winning day at The Magnet Cup to a disaster at The Eider Chase?
What use is that?? Hardly comparing like with like!
Through out history people who thought they were clever, kept copious, meticulous records, only to be hung by them at one stage [hung, literally, as members of the Nazi Party found out at Nurembourg!, thankfully.] .
Your records could easily fall into the wrong hands or even worse, your wife’s or partners :o ]. But, seriously, your GAMBLING records could easily come back to haunt you, and remember they must be true as they are written down, and by YOU!

Hello,
You can have a Phone account AND Online account, no problem.
Sometimes the bookie will write to you advising you to activate an Online Account already set up for you by using your Telephone Password. Again, a free bet will be the carrott!
A multitude of punters take up the free bets to make money by, for example, Bet win with Free Bet and lay on Exchanges.
I believe this is known as ARBS.
Again there are dedicated sites to this form of speculation. I used to know them. I think you can get some info. from a site called "quidco", or something like that…Google it !!

Hello,
Yep, Mighty Moose must know quite a few of the horses’ I have backed :)
They exhibit the same disposition and attributes as good ole Mighty, except they fail to finish a race or even start one !!:)
..and as they trot back to the stable whilst the race is on in earnest, they appear to be glancing at me humming,
"Always Look on The Bright Side of Life!" :(
They no longer refer to me as a fat, lazy, good for nothing B******, because I am….:(

Hello,
Yep, you can open up Telephone credit accounts for your Girl Friend…The Tote used to give you [for the recommendation], and your Girlfriend a £25.00 free bet. But they then started to give out Umbrellas!
I know there are websites that will point you towards Opening an Account Offers, but acquiring a Racing Post on the Monday/Tuesday of Festival Week could be rewarding as they are littered with offers.
These offers in Festival week have been, in the past, better than accepting the offers today.
Also, as you maybe aware, there are conditions to the "free bets", but overall not constraining.

Hi John,
What I am driving at is the horse is the primary factor.
Connections of both horses’ would like AP in the plate, but unfortunately, one will be let down.
Probably "not losing any sleep" is a bit flippant, but the loser in obtaining AP’s services will have to look elsewhere, and in my opinion, if the horse is at it’s best, a good jockey should give the horse an equally acceptable ride as AP would.
My main thread is what level of contribution a jockey actually gives to a horse’s performance. I am led to believe the connections of both horses’ sincerely believe A.P is essential. I tend to disagree with their assumption.
It is only my opinion that a jockey’s contibution is not as essential as people/media makes out. I have been known to be off beam before!! :)
