Cheltenham Competition – Day 1

Ok – Day 1 of the Cheltenham competition.

The basis of the competition is simple. In each race I have selected two matches and handicapped that match. You have to select who will win the match and if you are right you get a point. Winner is person who selects most winners. I won’t be entering the comp but will post a sample entry to show how you should lay out your selections.

You will be allowed one NAP per day whicjh will count double (i.e two points if successful). If you do not nominate a nap I will assume it to be the first match of the days big race (Tues Champion Hurdle, Wed Champion Chase, Thurs World Huirdle, Fri Gold Cup).

Posts should be made 5 minutes before the off-time of the first race. Edits not allowed once racing under way. As the forum clock is a bit skew whiff either myself or one of the forum moderators will try to post a ‘no more bets’ message at 13.55 each day. That will be the cut-off.

If there is a non-runner that match will be void.

Finishing positions/distances will be those published in the Racing Post (or RP online).

My decision will be final.

In the event of a tie the selections of the persons tied for the four Championship races (Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, World Hurdle and Gold Cup) will be counted and whoever scored most in these races will triumph.
