Hi David,
I said Malta was 5% (35-30 = 5%) subject to not taking bets from Maltese (gauranteed upto 2012), no reclaims on VAT !
Ireland i said is 12.5%……………assume im right?
Bulwark…..Belefore was a good call especially if you could get the 125-1, he was 65-1 on the pmu and paid 9.20 a place!!
Utmost Respect was 4th at 58-1, would have paid 10-1 a place so we just missed out there!
Marchand dòr won easily enough and African Rose ran the race of her life to be a solid 2nd!!
Winner paid 2,60 on the PMU and 1,5 a place
Theirs nothing in their discussing this race……..how am i to guess what they call a big race?
Desribed as 3.6 which is soft (although not that soft), in the first race they stayed on the inside rail which suggested it was riding fairly good, however, Bebe Vettori set a new trend when he was the only one to come over to the stands side and won by an eased down 4l, the sprints where won by racing Stands side………………………..all suggesting the going is genuinely soft, i would think its a fair bit softer than the 3,6,they are certainly “kicking it up“.
INXILE won at odds of 11.30 and 2,90 a place,he was ridden prominebt, took it up about 300m out and won by about 1/2 a legnth, Corrybrough on the other hand was ridden like a “prat“, from last place he had to switch around the whole field, guess that was always the danger!
TEMPELSTERN from Henry Cecil ran a 3/4l second to Magadino from the Renk stable, did his usual thing of building up a lead but was run out of it in the last furlong, 3rd horse was 2.5L away!
Being lazy i prefered it in the main section, it never occurs to me to look in another place for what i consider a racing topic!
For me PAPUL BULL got their too early but Peslier wasn`t to blame has he had to get after the horse before he decided to “pick up“.
Good luck with FIEPES SHUFFLE tommorrow, i would expect him to start at odds of about 1,4 has he`s by far the best horse in the race, whilst Schnackenberg is having a great week and her two reps like the track i doubt they have the class of FIEPPES especially on this ground!
An amazing admission in which he`s obviously trying to point the finger at “Betfair“ for allowing such a practice!
I can`t see any reason why they can`t prosecute this, afterall, theirs an admission of Guilt unlike in the Fallon case, it`s certainly fraudulent and against the good ethics a Bookmaker should practice!!
Betfair obviously need to close this account and i would expect the Gaming commission to remove his licence!!
I wonder whether he took advice on releasing such information or is it a simple case of the Brash Bookie image he likes to portray, either way,it`s certainly a case of verbal diarrhoea!!
Does anyone know of any yards here or abroad that would offer the possibility of a few jump race rides? My problem is im 29 now, so no longer have conditional status in this country and am struggling to get goning again after been out injured for nearly 16mths.
Any advice is much appreciated
PS Does anyone have, or know where I could find, any infomation on jump racing in Poland, Austria, Italy and Germany
At 29 i guess a lot depends on your CV ie how many winners you rode before you where injured, you would certainly need a profile to pick up rides without working in a yard!
The level of Jump racing in Germany is very moderate as are the jump jockeys involved(the races are either run at a crawl or break neck pace), i think that`s the reason the likes of Jim Colloty/Nina Carberry have found winning relatively easy when going over for the odd ride (Ability to read the pace!!),i don`t think it will be difficult to find opportunities to ride work and school because theirs a lack of decent work riders and i know when we wanted to try one over the sticks our trainer said forget it as he couldn`t find anyone to do the schooling!!
Sweden is even more backward in this respect thus i couldn`t reccommend trying your luck over there, personally,i think without disrupting your living style you would have more opportunities at home, its a simple call on the numbers!!
I suppose its a question of passion for jump riding or the need to work,if its financially viable you could purchase your own horses and ride them in public.
Darren can probably find you work but i should imagine even he would find it difficult to convince the trainer/owners of giving a ride to an “unknown“,afterall most yards have a pecking order!!
I have Equidia and am very happy with the service, im also a subscriber to www3.france-galop.com and use their professional service, what`s great with Equidia is its mainly advert free unlike the crap ATR,at least the presenters are normal people unlike `Loud mouth“ Chapman!!
Wish i could reccommend the wireless lan in this hotel (Vichy), it`s doing my head in has his the mobile tel connection, in fact its difficult to get a good connection anywhere in this town

Seagull,
Yep you are moving the “goal posts“ as you never mentioned that the “old boy“ needed to get large sums on, in your origional statement you where saying fivers and tenners………..you never refered to thousand + bets and you never refered to the systems section (Where ive never ventured in any case!!)
I understand what a ban is,maybe you need to explain this to your mate as he still thought he could bet with the company the other day!!
I understand why “high rollers“ are covered, you don`t need to point this out to me like you are speaking to a 2-y-o kid!! (I never mentioned high rollers in any case).
If you want to speak silly, direct it at someone on your wavelegnth!!
KAUTO says.
Then went to log onto my account other day and now have been told i have to supply 3 documents to prove where i live and call their customer services.
Read the rules on KYC (Know your customer), it`s the same for everyone and Betfair seem to have a policy of putting a stop on the account until they receive these supporting documents,if you ever transfer funds to your Australian wallet you will be asked for even more proof (This happened to me when i placed bets in the Aussie open!!).
Still, these documents are easy to provide, they can be faxed or scanned !

No word of an apologie then?
Why should i apologise then?, i still don`t believe Ladbrokes wouldn`t take a fiver, in your latest post you are saying the “old boy“ bet over a thousand in one bet yesterday in order to stay true with his System
You never mentioned in your origional thread that Laddies would be expected to take this bet too………If you want to move the goalposts as you go along your case surely dwindles!
This is all “say so“thus i can`t see why you or anyone else would expect an apology

If your friend had concentrated on betting with Betfair he would own Brigton marine by now, probably Eastbourne too,he could have had the 3,2 SHORE THING!!
Anyway, now you have helped him set up online he won`t get any “knockbacks“ at Betfair, you can tell him he`s also allowed to “call “ his bet through!!
When i see Chris Bells answer and a clear indication that they wouldn`t take the fiver i will post my apology……fair enough then?
Sorry but even the most Blue eyed kid on the block wouldn`t believe this one!!
If your friend is so well known in the area why didn`t he ask “Bob“ standing next to him to put the bet on?
I must be the only one not overly impressed!!, imo the horse was simply left clear whilst the others where messing around having barging matches, the ride given to DOCTOR FREEMANTLE was bordering on pathetic, makes me wonder whether UK based jockeys can really ride Longchamp(not the easiest of tracks), Dettori wasn`t much better on CURTAIN CALL!! earlier in the evening Chris Catlin was attrocious on the Eoghan O`Neill trained REVE DE SOLEIL, he must have thought he was in a ping pong championship!!
With regards to the “ARC “ MONMARTRE is trading around 5,5 (Betfair), and 5-1 with Corals, DOCTOR FREEMANTLE is 40`s and 65-1, if the DOC learns from this and he makes it to the ARC those prices will look very big, you can totally ignore last nights effort!!
More questions than answers to take the race serious as a betting medium!!
I couldn`t have US RANGER at any price,he had his ground/Trip in a group three on his return and couldn`t take advantage, owners made a big mistake taking him away from France where the races where run to bolster his confidence!,if i could get MARCHAND DÒRS last race out of my head i would say he was a “good thing“, however, irrelevent of the draw that day the horse was outpaced at a crucial stage of the race and it certainly left me baffled, having seen him in France i expected a lot better!BENBAUN is another who disappointed me lto,the Curragh race should have been a “tap in“ especially as he shows his best form at that venue,WAR ARTIST and KINGSGATE NATIVE have done little wrong, however, the first mentioned looks like a fast ground horse to my eye and the latter will need the breaks if he`s going to be held up,if the going rides “dead“ i would rather have something that could race up with the pace and the form horses don`t really fit that category,in short i would say MARCHAND DOR is the one to beat but at that price i will pass!!
