strange how this poor OAP has gone from £5’s & £10’s yesterday to £1K’s today,
July 18, 2008 at 06:45 #173617Barry Dennis,
To save you time reading through all of my mates bets on ‘The Old Boy’ on the systems pages basically what he does is start with a diver on the first sole jolly and keeps doubling up until the first winner. These are the only bets he does no fobts no lucksin downs no nothing else when he arrives at his first winner he collects and goes. He stops for the day if and when when he has had 10 losers in a row.
Hes currently up £9,228.13 since Jan 1st as of todays date.
Question is simple.
WOULD YOU ALLOW HIM TO BET LIKE THIS EVERY DAY WITH YOU?
P.S He is not poor!
July 18, 2008 at 07:50 #173622That is staggering. They would quite easily take his money however!
Betfair have suspended my account and not too sure why. I was doing a system whereby back favourites. I did make over £6000 when got up to making £50 a day but lost it all on one miserable Saturday where about 10 odds on favourites lost, so started doing it again for £5.00 a day and been gradually building this up. Then went to log onto my account other day and now have been told i have to supply 3 documents to prove where i live and call their customer services. Won’t even let me access my money. Betfair is basically a go between i thought? I’d understand if i was winning with bookmaker but surely betfair shouldn’t have say as to what i win there? It’s a funny business. Please do take your story further with the racing channels and papers. Get as much publicity as you can if want anything to change. Good luck, please let us know how you get on!!

No word of an apologie then?
Why should i apologise then?, i still don`t believe Ladbrokes wouldn`t take a fiver, in your latest post you are saying the “old boy“ bet over a thousand in one bet yesterday in order to stay true with his System
You never mentioned in your origional thread that Laddies would be expected to take this bet too………If you want to move the goalposts as you go along your case surely dwindles!
This is all “say so“thus i can`t see why you or anyone else would expect an apology

If your friend had concentrated on betting with Betfair he would own Brigton marine by now, probably Eastbourne too,he could have had the 3,2 SHORE THING!!
Anyway, now you have helped him set up online he won`t get any “knockbacks“ at Betfair, you can tell him he`s also allowed to “call “ his bet through!!
When i see Chris Bells answer and a clear indication that they wouldn`t take the fiver i will post my apology……fair enough then?

Read the rules on KYC (Know your customer), it`s the same for everyone and Betfair seem to have a policy of putting a stop on the account until they receive these supporting documents,if you ever transfer funds to your Australian wallet you will be asked for even more proof (This happened to me when i placed bets in the Aussie open!!).
Still, these documents are easy to provide, they can be faxed or scanned !

What you do not seem to understand that if someone gets banned that is a total ban.
Go down your local have 10 Vodkas and get drunk and abusive and get banned.
Next time you return will they serve you a half of lager?
No because its a total ban.If you get a driving ban you are not allowed to even drive a car one metre on a public road. This again is a total ban.
Exactly the same as Ladbrokes have done for the second time this year.
Not exactly hard to work out is it?
There are plenty that have followed and commented on the ‘systems’ part on this website regarding how Mark bets since the start of the year.
If you read through that you will not fail to see that he increases his stakes bet by bet and that some days his stakes are over a £1,00.00.
Just about every word of what he does has been explained and commented on.
You will see why he bets very close to banks to access funds quickly and also to avoid carrying around large sums when often they are not needed.
All this was available to see on this site before the open letter yesterday.
So its clear to see I have ‘not moved the goal posts’ as you put it.Why do Ladbrokes love the mega high roller they have and he has no trouble placing bets of over £100,000 ?
Could it possible be he is a big time loser? If you still think if someone is banned and is still able to place bets you really need to think again!
July 18, 2008 at 08:57 #173628Seagull,
Apologies if I’ve got any of this wrong, please correct me if I have.
If your friend (Mark I believe… the old man) places £5 on his first bet, then doubles up until he backs a loser, and only stops after 10 losers if he ever got that far, this would mean that this ‘old man’ walks into a Ladbrokes shop every day with more than £5,000 cash on him – don’t you think that’s a bit dangerous?
Or does he go in with say, £75 for the fist four bets, and if they get beat go and collect some more cash from somewhere, if that gets beat, goes and collects some more cash etc?
Whatever he does, I think steering your ‘old friend’ into betting from the comfort of his home is a must, not just so that he can get a bet on, but in this day and age for his safety also.

Yep you are moving the “goal posts“ as you never mentioned that the “old boy“ needed to get large sums on, in your origional statement you where saying fivers and tenners………..you never refered to thousand + bets and you never refered to the systems section (Where ive never ventured in any case!!)
I understand what a ban is,maybe you need to explain this to your mate as he still thought he could bet with the company the other day!!
I understand why “high rollers“ are covered, you don`t need to point this out to me like you are speaking to a 2-y-o kid!! (I never mentioned high rollers in any case).
If you want to speak silly, direct it at someone on your wavelegnth!!

It has all been explained on the systems pages.
He is betting £5.00 on the 1st Race and then doubling his stake until he has a winner. If it goes to say 6 races before the 1st winner he has £315.00 on him that covers the 1st 6 losers, bets of £5, £10, £20, £40, £80, £160.
So far this year he has had a winner in the first 6 races on the day 84% of the time. This is not betting on an actual meeting but race by race starting with the first race of the day say for example at Sandown then on to the 1st at Cartmel then the 3rd bet could be the 1st race at Brighton.
If for example it runs until the 6th race before a fav wins and if that is odds on, for example at 1/3 he accepts the loss on the day.
He is of the opinion that those that carry on to attempt to win a certain sum per day will lose thousands.
That is the only reason he seeks out betting shops very close to High Street banks.
Best read through the old boy on the systems and move general questions to there.
July 18, 2008 at 09:20 #173632In fairness to Seagull, most of us are familiar with his friends retrieval staking system so a massive amount of explanation wasnt needed imo. He has updated the system’s progress diligently on the system section for some time now.
Get him on Betfair asap.
July 18, 2008 at 09:41 #173634Thanks Seagull,
Still think we will all sleep easier when he is in his home placing bets on his computer

If there’s one thing about society that scares me it’s elderly (apologies for putting Mark in this bracket) people carrying money – especially in establishments likes pubs and betting shops were the young think they can spot an easy targets.
Mike
July 18, 2008 at 21:59 #173711I expect I’m the only one who feels Mark’s methods will not do so well when he gets set up on betfair.
I hope Seagull continues to run the thread. The results could be interesting, imo.

Good to see the system is still winning.I think there are 2 foreseeable problem’s. 1) betfair can crash at any time if it gets to busy or they are updating etc ,and 2) if mark is now going to pay for broadband ,use a company that has a english speaking customer service that you can understand, from my experience the mentioned company is not the best when there are problem’s.
p.s. Do you only have ladbroke’s in your neck of the wood’s ,that are close to the bank’s
