CORRYBROUGH and INXILE are taking their chance in the 5th race at Deauville today, the going is likely to be on the soft side, the opposition look fairly exposed thus they should go close, CORRYBROUGH as a particular good sit in stall 2 (most winners come up the rail in sprints at this track),Peslier is in the plate and in all fairness to him he`s riding particular well at present, their looks to be enough pace in the race which will suit him,the going is unlikely to prove an obstacle, the downside is he`s got penalties meaning he`s not particular well treated for a three year old (although weight is less obvious in the sprint division) and this is a relatively easy 5Furlongs (Unlike Sandown/Beverley where he has won) thus an attempt to ride him closer to the pace would be well advised! INXILE is interesting as he`s lightly raced thus open to improvement,he`s got a fair sit in box 7,he got closer to CORRYBROUGH at Sandown(1.5L latest/2KG pull at the weights) and the track will suit his aggressive running style !
Conclusion: CORRYBROUGH must be better than he showed LTO,whilst he`s still on a learning curve i will be dissappointed if he can`t take care of this lot, whilst this scopey individual will be favourite thats fair as he has a favs chance! I would be tempted to cover myself with INXILE as he`s going to be a very fair price (double figs) and in all respect at the weights he has a right to finish close up with CORRY, if this race was run at Chantilly or Maison Laffite i would make him my bet (Hard to peg back front runners at these tracks),however,at Deauville you can ride your race thus CORRY should be able to peg him back, if i had 10 points to play with i would have 6 CORRYBROUGH, 1 each way INXILE, 1.5 both to finish in first three (Couple Place) and 0.5 forecast (Gagnant place).all at PMU prices as theirs no value betting the Brits with local Bookies!!

TEMPELSTERN from Henry Cecil ran a 3/4l second to Magadino from the Renk stable, did his usual thing of building up a lead but was run out of it in the last furlong, 3rd horse was 2.5L away!

August 9, 2008 at 16:20 #176547Desribed as 3.6 which is soft (although not that soft), in the first race they stayed on the inside rail which suggested it was riding fairly good, however, Bebe Vettori set a new trend when he was the only one to come over to the stands side and won by an eased down 4l, the sprints where won by racing Stands side………………………..all suggesting the going is genuinely soft, i would think its a fair bit softer than the 3,6,they are certainly “kicking it up“.
