Most games I’d imagine, at least with reference to the two managers you just referenced.

I think Ashram may well be re-routed to the 2000 Guineas as opposed to the French version after Shaweel disappointing in the Greenham.

    Condolenscenes to all.

Sad indeed, especially seeing WL collapse. Awful viewing.

As regards the debate with NH racing, my point, or question if you like, is what happens to the thousands of flat 2 and 3 year olds who are not deemed to be very good?

That is the part for the conscience to consider imho, more so that the accidents in the NH sphere.

Am I missing something here? Why should owners not have to pay for any food and beverages – there seems to be something seriously amiss in the Racing world.

My feeling is that Schindler’s Hunt just didn’t want to put his head in front.

    Great race, and finish.

I’m not sure, but I would consider Cambridge nearby which is only a short taxi or bus ride away, and will probably have more choice, especially around Guineas time.

For what it is worth, I thought Walkon would win this if Starluck didn’t – the "hype" horse in the race for me is Hebridean.

    I’d agree with this.

When people want a horse to be good from the outset, that horse is always going to be subject to evaluation different from other horses, and they can convince themselves the horse is something he is not.

I am happy to be proved wrong :)

The law of probabilty ( if such a thing exists :? )

Sure it does – it’s called the Law of Averages. An example is where if a coin is tossed and comes up heads then it’s more likely that tails will come up the next time!

It’s just good common sense really!

The previous outcome (heads) has no effect on the following outcome.

Somewhat depressing to read that Gladiotorous now goes back to Godolphin

    There goes a super horse

To be expected. Usually a high-class horse under the Darley/Maktoum umbrella who shows form on Dubai World Cup night will be transferred.

Might do him the world of good. Frankie now pilots a super front-runner.

You can imagine Frankie being near unbeatable on this horse during the summer.

Godolphin haven’t done too badly in recent seasons with older horses around this distance which they bought, such as Ramonti or Creachadoir, have they?

I hope they swerve further races in the East, and bring him back for a full European summer – I reckon people will put his win down to an element of luck and slightly stolen, and he’ll be a very backable price, against a very weak older division.

A very interesting race as this is where Firseside and a fair few others have ended up through not getting into the Lincoln.

I personally like Manassas16-1 (and pretty much the same price as he was backed at for the Lincoln), and Flawed Genius 40-1. And to a lesser extent Opus Maximus 33-1, if the pace is rather sedate.

This is a good race in its own right, who does everyone fancy?

    Great stuff Bulwark.

Anyone know where you can watch the races online? RUK and ATR not options, nor watching it through placing a bet with a bookie.

    Thanks

    AP,

Wasn’t it Brennan who rode Osana in the Boylesports?

The return of Scudamore for the Champion Hurdle was, imo, close to being the difference to being second, as opposed to winning.

No, it doesn’t. He arrived at Godolphin unsound, and continued, by and large, to be that way. By all means criticise Godolphin where they have made mistakes, but putting them down for housing a brittle horse is very much wide of the mark. imvho.

He wasn’t bought though, he was transferred from wearing the colours of one Maktoum brother, to being owned by them all (Godolphin). Hatta Fort would be another example of this.
