When i think of how unlucky Pride was (fast finishing in g1’s and 2’s) it guts me. For me, she was the best mare of recent times (ouija inc) and proved this with big wins on her last two starts (newmarket,japan). She was by Pientre Celebre and was really reaching her peak when retired. I was pleased to hear she’s been covered by Monsun who i rate hugely. This raised a few eyebrows as german lines still aren’t rated! ..eer.. Manduro?… You have to go back six generations for slight inbreeding which im told is eer…good

Seriousy, Manduro, as the 10f would be an issue for most of the rest. All boxes ticked for Manduro DT2nd and from the clouds, Broughtons Formula in third
I think there’s much more to it than the brute force required to push a horses head foward or beat it. Horses respond to different actions, jockeys and the minutist of things. Some jockeys resort to hissing, shouting and all sorts of madness to get more from their partner.

The racing takes pride of place in this most intimate of watering holes as the locals (yardies) will not have it any other way quite frankly.There is a Ladbrokes directly next door where you can,if inclined,score crack or indeed place a wager
.However,if you find its one of your luckier days and actually get to watch one romp home over a pint,kindly refrain from cheering,smiling,or mutter anything that ends with ‘my son’ as this is deemed as disrespectful and sure to end with a ‘pop’ in the ‘back room’.
