Another sad loss, hugely talented, RIP Quorto.
RIP Yanworth, talented but quirky, very sad to lose him.
Desperately sad, beautiful boy on good form, awful to see him go like that poor boy, condolences to connections.
Well done Emmet, rode the race perfectly to suit his horse. Some of the other jockeys could learn a thing or two from him.
Interesting info from sectionals, and good interviews with connections on Luck on Sunday.Well, i’m on Pyledriver, who’s coming out of stall 3 !
Lovely progressive horse, gets the trip, seems to go on all ground.
Fingers crossed!Tragic news, RIP Liam, sympathy to all friends and family.
Agreed, itv coverage much more watchable without the tedious fashion stuff etc, and the racing itself was first class, lack of crowds obviously a benefit for the 2 years olds calmness, and maybe also helped Battaash! The tv viewing figures were pretty healthy too.
Really good to see Golden Horde build on the promise he showed last season, beautiful strong horse, super performance.
Great ride, weaving through the field (annoying though as had backed Deja!). In post race interview sounds like she has a great relationship with Scarlet Dragon.
Well deserved win. That was brilliant, brought tears to my eyes!
He looked like he had just been dropped into the race at the end there, the others toiling behind were mostly out on their feet (great run by Nayef Road).Yes I think he was lucky to get away with that, very bad interference with Surf Dancer nearly knocked off his feet, caused by other horse veering away from whip in left hand. Think William Buick could have changed whip hand much sooner.
Correction, ‘during’ not after …
Report says he collapsed and died after a piece of routine work.
So sad to hear of his loss, another superstar gone, condolences to all connections. He was so loved, and enjoying himself to the end. What a character he had, to have overcome that early injury. A legend of a horse.
RIP.Interested to read today in JG interview that Logician suffered from peritonitis over the winter and they were lucky not to lose him, so he would not have been on the track before this autumn anyway. Thank goodness they managed to save his life. Hopefully he will recover fully.
Had been wondering why he wasn’t entered in anything
Logician for me too.
Good for the smaller trainers to pip the O’Brien battalions once in a while
Racing tv has been reshowing 1000 and 2000 Guineas past few days, did enjoy seeing Speciosa romp home and the note of surprise in the commentary!- AuthorPosts
