Really sad to see this news, such a shame he didn’t get to fulfil his potential. Condolences to all connections.
And how about
Infected by The TheWell done to ABP and connections and all backers!
Thrilled to see Lostintranslation run such a good race, especially as stable form been disappointing this week.RIP Double Trigger, absolutely stunning to look at and hugely talented, fabulous horse, glad he had a long retirement.
Just seen this awful news, so sad, he was a real favourite, and so deserved a long retirement passing on his talent to the next generation.
On Racing Post results for Never Adapt it states vet says the mare was lame in left hind, hopefully no long term injury.
Yes Patriot, so many great moments to choose from!
You would have had to be made of stone to not have been cheering home Kauto in that Betfair.Hope the next decade provides equally thrilling racing and superstars.
Goodness what a decision …. Frankel for the flat, absolutely awesome horse, for jumps Sprinter Sacre in full flight was just sublime and him regaining his Champion Chase crown was magical, but lots of emotional moments, Cue Card beating Vatour in the King George, Kauto Star beating Long
Run in the Betfair chase, Many Clouds running his heart out beating Thistlecrack.Such sad news, think he was a homebred too, condolences to connections. Very cruel loss of a talented horse with a special character too.
Agreed, there has to be a better way of notifying the jockeys, and also a lot quicker, they had travelled another circuit but it was painfully obvious poor Houblon would be still on the course, so surely they could have had flags out on the course sooner.
You could see Aidan Coleman pulling up when he saw the yellow flag, the other jockeys should know what it means too and not continued.
Very sad for connections.
Absolutely heartbreaking, rip Houblon. Legend of a horse.
What a brilliant race, thanks for starting the topic Jac.
Lots of old favourites in the race. Set Piece was eating up the ground with that lovely long stride, very impressive.Disappointing there are so few runners, but hoping to see Lostintranslation proving he is a real Gold Cup contender.
Thunder Snow was also retired early November, hope he is as successful a stallion as he was on the racecourse.
Great run again by Prince of Arran, 3rd time lucky for him next year.
Fingers crossed that Rostropovich will be ok after suffering fractured pelvis.- AuthorPosts
