Very sad that Mohaather has retired so early, but at least he is in one piece and hopefully will be as successful as a sire as he was on the racecourse.
RIP Swarez, you deserved a better life, looked at his race history, poor boy only finished 9 races, closest he ever was to the winner was 17L, average distance behind in the races he finished was 48L. In his other races he was pulled up 4 times and fell 4 times before the fatal fall today.
Heartbreaking.RUK just confirmed she couldn’t be saved, poor gir.
Agree stewards here far too lenient, think I heard Ryan Moore got 6 days ban for that ride, Pat Dobbs later got 3 days for barging his way through in the Golden Mile causing interference to a couple of horses.
Stewards in Australia at least have banned Hugh Bowman for 6 weeks for his awful ride that caused severe injuries and hospitalised a jockey, caused the death of one horse and another horse has been left with a broken leg but has been operated on so may survive.
Need far stiffer penalties here.Blimey, poor old Vatican City, seems he was struck into, had irregular heartbeat, lost right hind shoe and finished lame on that leg.
Any news post race re Vatican City, he was virtually pulled up?
I think Oisin is being too hard on himself, Mohaather won that so well, don’t think Kameko would have beaten him today, but can’t wait for the rematch!
Awful news. Desperately sad for the yard after losing Mountain Angel a few days ago. Lovely words in tribute in the articles, he was much loved by all.
RIP DefoeBrilliant! Well deserved win and great partnership developed with C.Fallon and Oxted!
Another sad loss, hugely talented, RIP Quorto.
RIP Yanworth, talented but quirky, very sad to lose him.
Desperately sad, beautiful boy on good form, awful to see him go like that poor boy, condolences to connections.
Well done Emmet, rode the race perfectly to suit his horse. Some of the other jockeys could learn a thing or two from him.
Interesting info from sectionals, and good interviews with connections on Luck on Sunday.Well, i’m on Pyledriver, who’s coming out of stall 3 !
Lovely progressive horse, gets the trip, seems to go on all ground.
Fingers crossed!Tragic news, RIP Liam, sympathy to all friends and family.
Agreed, itv coverage much more watchable without the tedious fashion stuff etc, and the racing itself was first class, lack of crowds obviously a benefit for the 2 years olds calmness, and maybe also helped Battaash! The tv viewing figures were pretty healthy too.
Really good to see Golden Horde build on the promise he showed last season, beautiful strong horse, super performance.
