Fatally injured falling at Southwell
August 24, 2020 at 16:00 #1498720Piece of sh*t track. All falls look catastrophic and they just continue with the racing as if nothing happens.
Rest in Peace Swarez
August 24, 2020 at 19:56 #1498744RIP Swarez, you deserved a better life, looked at his race history, poor boy only finished 9 races, closest he ever was to the winner was 17L, average distance behind in the races he finished was 48L. In his other races he was pulled up 4 times and fell 4 times before the fatal fall today.
Heartbreaking.August 24, 2020 at 20:18 #1498745Agree, Ilavim. A horse that fails to complete in its first five PTP races, should never run under NH rules, unless there is a significant improvement. But, I guess there is quite a number of horses like him or the other fatality today that just change hands for a few quid in the hope that a new trainer could work miracles with it.
This is just too sad and very hard to accept.August 25, 2020 at 02:45 #1498758I agree about the undue toll theses fences seem to take. Swarez was running creditably here when coming down RIP
