    Broke down badly when leading in the 3.50 at Ascot. Horrible to see. He was leading at the time when he went wrong. RIP National Anthem.

    I don’t follow these type of races a lot but was taken with the look of this horse when he went to start late. He ran admirably – commiserations to those involved with him

    What a terribly sad day to lose two wonderful servants to racing..
