good point aragorn, but do you not think ID will come on for the run being as he was off for 12 months and his trainer said he would come on for the race because he hadnt been too hard on him at home before hand. i just think if ID can reproduce the form of his world hurdle run, he would take alot of beating. remember we have never seen what BJK finds off the bridle.

ok, i will give you first time out ever, but a race on the flat got him fully fit for his return to jumping. i really dont think he will win on sunday. his trainer wants him peaking at cheltenham, although i dont think he will win that either as he is best on a flat track. his race will be at Punchestown in april again

In my opinion macs joy wont be fully wound up, even if he has done alot of work at home because he is being aimed at the champion. i think he will run a big race but end up 3rd or 4th. i cant really see asian maze winning. iktitaf will run a big race, but i dont think he has the bottle to out battle brave inca and hardy eustace, and i think hardy eustace may just show brave inca he still has it

fair point mounty, but stats are there to be defied!!
personaly i dont go by stats very much because things do change over time so it doesnt really put me off, also what is in the race to oppose him? (appart from exotic dancer) our vic, who has stats of his own that say he wont win imo!

thankyou for pointing that out, my mistake!!!
i agree, it would be very interesting to see what she could do in that grade. if she won on saturgay he price would be much much much smaller for the RSA chase

Cailan Alainn interested me too, but is he likely to run? if he does he will have to be respected. i think its fine to back our vic, just not his 2nd run of the season or at the festival!! exotic dancer is currently 7.2 on betfair, and for the runner up in the king george that seems a big price. imo. our vic and halcon are pretty much j/f at 2.1.

yes he would be my alternative to exotic dancer. he has bags of stamina and with neptune collonge in the race there will be plenty of pace, which will also suit exotic dancer

thats the point of these pages, would be pointless if we all agreed. i just think he cant be trusted to run his race. looking at the charlie hall form doesnt encourage me either. neptune collonge has won since, but also been well beaten so i think he may have been flattered and given more credit than he deserved, although he was impressive. he has also been found wanting in the stamina department before, so 3 miles 1 in heavy may be difficult. He will probably go and win now!!

in my opinion if my way de solzen went for RSA he would win on the bridle. denman is overrated and idle’s in front. but it looks like my way is going to have his legs run off in the arkle, as racing demon did last year!
i dont think it is a myth that mares are more likely to have off days. mares often run badly when they are in season which may have been the reason for asian mazes more run. also mares are moody creatures and she might not have been in the right mood!

If he runs, noble request. will have top weight, but as he showed last season he improved with every run, and his form this season seems to reflect the same is happening this year. he will also be suited by the likely fast pace. each way at 25-1 looks tempting to me. i also think he is likely to run as he isnt entered for the champion hurdle trial at haydock this weekend which would have been an obvious target and he wont run in the agfa because detroit city is being aimed at it.
macs joy beat brave inca at punchestown because it was one race too many for brave inca and he ran very flat. macs joy seems best suited by flat tracks. i think he has place claims at best

i think detroit city is going to take all the beating. brave inca will be the closest imo. asian maze will be left behind coming down the hill, as will feathard lady. macs joy has had his chances and not come up with the goods and hardy eustace isnt getting any younger. nothing else is simply good enough. all the value has gone in the champion market imo
i would say detroit city has more chance than asian maze in the champion. i personally dont bother with a national type because its a lottery as to whether the horse gets round etc. including well chief is a risk, but one that could pay off. however he usually needs the run first time out, so if he goes staight for the queen mother that would be a negative.

you can sub 2. i think im going to get rid of beef. i have taranis as well but i think i will keep him because i hope he can win something on better ground. possibly the racing post chase at kempton in feb, the easy 3 miles should suit him and its worth 50 points!
do you think central house has a hope of winning anything?
