Cheers fist, I like Tryst as an individual but off his mark would need to win one or more to be sure to get in wouldnt he? and no entries as yet, what is the penalty system for the cambs anyway?
Another Stoute horse I would be very keen on granted some cut is Dancourt, but he would prob need to win the Newbury race he is in to get a run.
Obviously hated the quick ground up the straight at Haydock last time and wouldnt want to be risked again. Nevertheless showed his class at the top of the straight by being the only horse from the back to make instant ground and moved easily into contention, also is physically big and powerful which for me is a huge plus for this race.
Hey, heard a rumour that Shamali is out for the season, anyone know if thats the case or not?
Prob true seeing as he was my antepost play and was going to go in again come the day

Speed ticket, wells lyrical if it were to rain at all, victoria montoya if she were to get in. Great race if most of them stay in.
Like many not keen to bet properly on the straight course at ascot since it was ruined but love the hunt cup so.
I want a horse who is usually held up, physically a big, strong type, stays a bit further than a mile, has shown the required class, has shown form on the aw, and preferably has under 9 stone.
So Checklow is my pick at a big price if the connections decide to chuck him in alongside the fav.
Not to mention B Meehans horses coming out of the gloom in the last week, that has to be a huge bonus.
The round mile at Ascot more of a stamina test that straight mile at newmarket….. erm I will have to disagree with that.
Delegator does stay a mile and a mile around a bend is what he wants for me, the tempo of a round mile will really suit him and 4-1 is much too big.
With all the obvious angles of pace and draw and trainer form backed accordingly these days, true value is harder to get than ever before, but the old forgive one bad run theory still grants you some decent prices again and again and this is one. Just my opinion tho.
Would always look to be prominent on the round course and with a strong possibility of a tactical race here will plump for Tazeez at a price back on quick ground and think he could find himself in a good position.
If Stoute/Moore stick to their usual run style with Tartan Bearer, he could well struggle to make 6/8 lengths up in the short straight on quick ground IMO.
Military Power for me also, would have been interested in snoqualmie boy at a price with yard running into form but awful draw.
Would like to see Checklow run moderately here and turn up in the hunt cup at ascot at a price.
Whilst not discounting the possibility of Denman not being as good as before his problems, to my eyes it seems like a genuine soft ground galloper running on ground a bit too lively for him.
He needs soft ground and a slower rhythm race.
Horses for courses chaps and every horse has his optimum conditions, no matter how good, these were not his optimum conditions.
Personally I wouldnt like to see the whip banned but think you are right that it will happen eventually.
However, we have to promote the sport, and horses going up and down on the spot on heavy ground, at the end of a 3 mile chase at Towcester getting 10 or more smacks from the second last does not give a good impression to alot of potential newcommers to the sport.
Take the average horse, jumping the second last upsides, I personally dont think the vast majority of horses would get to the line quicker having been hit 10 times rather than 5.
Grimes, the only mistake connections/jockey made with Presvis was to decide to go inside up the straight.
Knowing there would be a strong pace and being drawn wide was perfect to sit in the two path out the back, pull him out early in the straight and have a clear passage, they must have known there would be horses falling back on their laps down the inner.
Having said that, the winner must be just about the top turf horse around, you just do not see horses go that quick at that track and not fall in a hole half way up the straight.
If the other horses had of gone with him they would have been beaten further, and if they had just gone a stride slower on the winner he would have won by further, truly sensational performance.
Was just about to say the same thing Aragorn,
They are not starting from stalls here!! the horses out the back gifted the leaders 10-15 lengths start in a grade one race.
They did NOT jump off upsides and drift back as the leaders went too fast as in a flat race.
Crack Away Jack and Celestial Halo come out with most credit for me.
Most of the potential winners of this years Lincoln were sold to race in Dubai, the few 4 year olds with a progressive profile stick out.
Gosdens pair and Swop would have obvious and big chances for me.
Huzzah may have an outside chance and will prob come for B.Hills Doncaster money towards the race so wouldnt be a bad ante post bet.
Have to wait until July to get some depth to the handicaps, once the 3 year olds join in.
Gamut is my pin stick to make a decent jumping sire…….eventually.
I hope that our own AW racing gets a massive kick up the butt now and adds enough decent group races to keep group class sand horses over here.
Seeing horses like Ventura reaching listed class over here then migrating to find enough suitable races/and prize money will be a growing pattern with more tracks switching surface in the US.
I remember Fantastic Light going up the inner of their pacemaker to go on and beat Galileo by a head in the Irish Champion.
To me as long as you are not actually deliberately impeding another horse, having a plan in place is just intelligent pre race planning as far as im concerned, a lot of bul talked about team tactics IMO.
lol jonjo

I will second Howard de waldons apricot colours.
Marquesa De Moratallas red colours.
Duke of Devonshires straw colours.
