Just as I have been pointing out, the decline in English racing.
"The horse museum there houses Arkle’s skeleton"
Gruesome.
August 18, 2009 at 02:22 in reply to: Fallon – should we be celebrating his return to the sport? #244456would not be employed as an Ambassador for the sport.
Linda has had several highs and lows in her career but could at this time to be said to be her lowest point?
So some of you are not happy with a health crowd at Hamilton’s evening meetings.
Maybe you want a course to yourself or wuld it not be be better if you sat in front of the TV and contacted your bookmaker by telephone?
Hamilton have a good team in place to promote the sport.
"From what i gather though, he will be still based at Lambourn, but will travel to his new location 2 or 3 days per week. He will have someone else in charge at Manor House, who will do the day-to-day running of the new venture."
Far from satisfactory in my opinion…
The government is not duty bound to save racing.
Which contines to prove my point quantity over quality,
The fatality on-course chart for July showed six deaths
Two each at Southwell, Market Rasen and Newton Abbot.
I should have left it at "Looks an interesting race but more a watching brief than laying down cash." and not offered an opinion.
Catillion had plenty of support in the market but I felt he there did not look much of this colt and he put up no fight at all. I thought he might make a hurdler but after seeing him race it looked like he is not in love with the sport.
MY Chestnut Girl looked impressive but in the end she beat nothing of note.
The only one maybe for the note book is Mark Johnston’s Laazim once he acclimatizes over here.
happy, Rick is this your own private domain.
If youi don’y like my comments then why bother to read and comment on them?
ever think of that?"A mile for a 2-y-o at Hamilton on the first of August is a hell of a test of stamina! "
Yes once again little thought for the horse.
Happy writes.."By ”scaling down” you will deprive the smaller less affulent owners, syndicates and racing clubs of their direct enjoyment of their chosen sport."
But surely the BHA should be opting for quality, not quatity, in all aspects of the sport? Get rid of the dross and promote a quality product.
What other British sport is willing to promote their sport at its worse?
Linda still waiting for that first winner.
"Are you going to decide who are second rate, or indeed "struggling", or shall I?"
Don’t be so silly!
All sports have to keep improving what they offer. THE BHA seems to be going in the opposite direction.
Bookies will tell you that more and more young people are betting on all sports but racing.
The BHA has to tackle the problem before it over powers them
I would always have Sanders before Dettori, but Moore would get the vote over Sanders.
If you don’t like a thread then why bother to reply to it?
I see a few on here think they are an elite little group who criticize others but seldom start a thread themselves.
