The standard of horse and prize money at some JC approved tracks these days is getting close to the ‘flapping scene’
Does not the Racing Post not have a section on who’s birthday on that particular day?
It gives the age of both male and female and there seems to be no complaints from the racing world as this has been going on for years.
So is it only a % of those who contribute to the board that are age-sensitive?
As for small stables etc.
Was there not once a minimum number of animals a trainer had to have in his stable before he was given a licence? – a flat trainer that is.
For goodness sake – not polite to mention someone’s age this is 2009.
Only four horses in training?
Surely a flat licence should be revoked if a trainer has so few horses in his/her stables.
OK, an owner may take all of his horses away at the one time but surely if a trainer goes for say 30-months with under ten animals in traning then their flat licence should be taken away.
With the racing world going for quantity not quality these days, can one expect anything else?
look at the card at Redcar today, no quality what so ever.
Anyone in Scotland thinking of becoming an owner of a racehorse should not need to look any further than Scottsih stables these days.
That is unless one is thinking of going for a "Classic".
Still feel that Linda Perrat may have had a raw deal.
J Ewart will be top Scottish trainer before long.
Len Lungo – not the force he once was. He has more than proved himself in the racing game so why are owners not sending him really good horses these days?
Lucinda Russell goes from strength to strength.
Goldie, is he cutting back from flat to jumps?.
Given a few good horses Andrew Parker could do well. He has a modern training establishment right next the the motorway system
When did Mr Nolan last train a winner?
And all but the prize money of one race went to small stables and owners.
32 winners not bad for a Scottish trainer.
iILinda would have been priased rather than asked to move on.
With the credit crunch Linda could not be starting up her new stable at a worse time.
Great, this gives Linda a chance to show those who terminated her contrat they they were wrong.
Thirty-two winners from the type of horse she had in her stable last season was good going.
Mick Channon, Gay Kelleway and James Eustace not having a good day.
This is a meeting that is giving the small northern trainers a chance.
Box Office a big disappointment for all his prestigious connections.
Anyone feel that Linda got a raw deal at belstane?
Where is her new base – not back at Cree Lodge?
Is anyone training at Cree Lodge at the moment?
Channon / Gay Kelleway / James Eustace are not in the top rank of Souther trainers and as far as Johnston is concerned he is a northern trainer giving work to those in the north.
