No Southern raiders at Newcastle today and that is good for the small northern trainers.
Have Mick Channon, Gay Kelleway and James Eustace moved?
And would that be ‘small northern trainers’ as in Mark Johnston, who fields five favourites, all owned by members of the Maktoum family. Not sure Braveheart would approve of being included in that grouping!
Channon / Gay Kelleway / James Eustace are not in the top rank of Souther trainers and as far as Johnston is concerned he is a northern trainer giving work to those in the north.
I’ll leave it to Tom then to face up to Braveheart and tell him he’s a small trainer!

There are few southern raiders would eb more apt. Which is surprising given there is reasonable prize money on offer for a monday.
