Tuesday and Friday for me – Will you be on email for maybe a quick beer after racing on Friday?

definitely – I remember a few years ago Lough Derg winning one of his races from the front under a hefty burden. I was on something completely different but you couldn’t help but be full of admiration for the way he won. Cheering him over the line, it struck me that I enjoyed that as much as a winning bet.

We have an awesome sport, the betting makes it better but the stories are good enough regardless.

    in my opinion!

I like the chances of Old Way for Williams. Off the bottom weight, it cannot have enjoyed the heavy conditions it won in at Hereford but it battled on gamely, 20/1 for me.

Of the others Via Galilei appeals the most.

Lively ground will have a part to play and I want to be on side with those that will enjoy it.

Great post, very thorough! best of luck..

My bet of the day would be Desert Cry in the 4.15 at Kelso – I think it might improve quite a lot today, was quite impressed last time. I did promise myself not to get too stuck into these sorts of races but 11/4 is very tempting!

I understand what you say about Big Fella Thanks but I am backing at 9/1 – It seems well treated on last years win. A lot of them won’t appreciate this sharp examination but I think he has enough turn of pace to go well.

    Have a good one.

I have been burned following Fistral Beach before but will go again today and I think it is maybe the moment for it to repay us loyal followers!

Nicholls seems to think it is on a fair mark and he does not often say that. I think they have often expected a big run from this horse and the breathing op may have done the job as it does for so many at Ditcheat.

Bakbenscher would be a good bet too in the conditions but
I think in a race of this quality his jumping needs to be top notch and I’m not sure it will be.

The other threat for me, is Nacarat – The quality is in the form book and it is fairly kindly treated on previous RP Chase runs – I don’t think that soft would be too much an inconvinence, I think sticky is what we will get though and on top weight, I prefer Fistral Beach.

This is it though Fistral, repay me today or we part company for ever!

Agree on the prizemoney – I didn’t notice that until I read the comments here – It is a real shame because the timing of the race just after the national weights are out could make it a superb trial.

Today I like the chances of Belon Gale who at least has won a race of this nature in similar conditions.

I couldn’t agree more – I really fancy The Midnight Club (with the national weights published) to run a big race tomorrow – 15/8 with Hills feels like great value

Surely now the weights are out, we will start to see some new and surprising form! West End Rocker is a great each way bet, I cannot see it not being inolved today – It is chasing this quarter of a million bonus and that has to be a decent sign.

At a decent price I like Major Malarkey who I think will be one of those showing significant improvements over marathon trips.

I also like Le Beau Bai who is coming down the weights yet young enough to still show some form – That one will like the mud too.

I know you have to overlook a lot but I am still feeling trafford Lad could produce a run one day. With defections this looks weak so a 40/1 ew small stakes bet is my angle.

I think Zaidpour will turn out to be the better horse. Oscars Well is interesting but I think Zaidpour might be a bit caught out by Hidden Universe who probably will prefer the conditions.

It is a right puzzle but the two I settled on were Solix at 14s and Final Approach at 10s. Both are unexposed – Small stakes mind, when I ruled out the ones I considered without hope, I was left with ten potential winners!!!

I had a ticket on Pandorama and am glad to hear he is back working. Diamond Harry looked an impressive winner. It looks like the changing of the guard for me and I include Imperial Commander in my list of unlikely winners

At the risk of being repetitive I also think Medermit has an excellent chance. Medermit surprised me this weekend, I think the beating of Captain Chris reads very well as I rate Ghizao too.

I quite like the chances of Final Approach. I think the the last race it won will work out quite nicely. Walkon also has a great chance but you have to be worried about the bounce factor and the fact that surely this was not the original plan. Get me out of here would be better than I think if it were to win giving a stone to some useful sorts.

Those quotes are too big, I know Mikael D’haguenet is a quality horse and 14/1 is a ridiculous price. I’ve had some of it, I think any sane person would.

Just keeping my fingers crossed the meeting is on, I’ve been looking forward to this all week.

Its off -Waterlogged – What a shame – Lost a great card there – I’m sure they’ll get the fixture moved.

I have to say I like Pride of Dulcote for this. Cooldine has had his chances with me, if he wins in future it sadly won’t be carrying my money.

9/4 is short enough but I think this is the horse in the race who can go on from current form. The Newbury defeat of Punchestown is OK form but I seriously rate the run behind Weapons Amnesty at the festival last year.

I agree it was very interesting and while I wouldn’t make excuses for my pick Big Zeb on the pace, I do think Geraghty found himself in front too soon which should not be a problem at Cheltenham.

Great ride on Golden Silver after two fences he was more likely to pull up than win.

I am in agreement on the 4/1 available for Big Zeb in the Champion Chase, that has to be a bet in my view.
