January 16, 2011 at 21:49 #336322I have been really taken by Blazing Tempo. Willie Mullins, I think, is quoted as saying she will probably be kept against her own sex this season. However she is one of the most promising Irish chasers I have seen so far this season.

February 2, 2011 at 21:55 #338864Not necessarily. Forpadydeplasterer finished second (Now there’s a rare occurrence!) in this before winning the Arkle.

Ok thank you, I’ve backed him for both at 20s and 16s just in case! Jack

February 4, 2011 at 12:01 #339003Fist, fear not – if Mikael D’Haguenet’s jumping holds out, he will trounce this lot.

1) €52,000.00 ( 2m 5f – 5yo+ )1 Bostons Angel(146) (MrsJHarrington) – RMPower 11,10
2 Magnanimity(141) (DTHughes) – DNRussell 11,10
3 Mikael D’Haguenet (FR) (WPMullins) – PTownend 11,10
4 Sam Adams(132) (PNolan) – PCarberry(T) 11,10
5 Western Charmer(142) (DTHughes) – PWFlood 11,10February 6, 2011 at 02:22 #339198I’m with you guys that think Micky D will win well. I know he was beaten last time, but it was a shorter trip and he just seemed flat (bounce?). He would have been a good winner against Jessies Dream if he had not fallen IMHO. This horse reeks class.
He was 16/1 for RSA, now 14/1 – if he wins as many of us expect he won’t be double figures for the big one.

Those quotes are too big, I know Mikael D’haguenet is a quality horse and 14/1 is a ridiculous price. I’ve had some of it, I think any sane person would.
Just keeping my fingers crossed the meeting is on, I’ve been looking forward to this all week.

Its off -Waterlogged – What a shame – Lost a great card there – I’m sure they’ll get the fixture moved.

Really looking forward to this
Carv gave me a bit of a bollocking for backing Mick D after he fell first time out so I hope he wins or he’ll be bollocking me socks off again

IMVHO 2 of the best novice Chaser on display today both of which could become real superstars…so I’m having a little double on MickyD and The Rainbow at Warwick. The Arkle and RSA winners???
I could think of a lot worse 9/4 shots than that to be backing
February 12, 2011 at 13:56 #340083Not too sure what to make of that. Emmet Mullins must hate that second last. Quel Esprit was coming under pressure but he would have got every yard of the trip.
I thought Mikael D’Haguenet jumped ok. It still wouldn’t surprise me if they dropped him back in trip. I don’t know when was the last time a maiden over fences won an Arkle though?!
