Can’t see half of them turning up I think Pandorma will be no better than 10/11 on the day. 6/4 seems a very good price.
Has PN confirmed that any of his will run yet?

What a bummer
What a weird report on the Sportinglife website."We hope he has just bruised his hock. We did an x-ray at first and there appeared to be a little crack in the hock but when we x-rayed the other hock it was identical"
Maybe he has two cracked hocks

I hope we get some good news cos I really think he could win this Gold Cup or go very close.
Not the prettiest horse around is he?..He’s got a head morelike a vampire bat than a racehorse. Hope he has a speedy recovery the Gold Cup needs horses like him [attachment=0:2r5snctu]pandorama_2545104.jpg[/attachment:2r5snctu]

Not good news, it’s one horse after another lately

I hope he gets to the Gold Cup cause it will make it more competitive than last year. We’ve already lost Burton Port and Weapons Amnesty for the season, we don’t need to lose anymore.

Kempes barring heavy ground.
He has a 3 length beating of China Rock in the book. And although he didn’t look to great before he fell in the Lexus, he had knocked a few fences and always comes late to win. He really responds to being pushed along, so with McCoy back on board (couldn’t get there that day) he’ll be the one for me.
If I knew he was going to Cheltenham I’d back him each-way for the Gold Cup at 50’s. Owned by McManus he’s likely to be McCoys ride for that.
February 2, 2011 at 20:37 #338852A race i am very much excited about and am of the opinion that if the real COOLDINE turns up,its his to lose.I am thinking we haven"t seen what this horse can really do yet as he always seems to have had niggles.I have supported him at 7/1 and again at 6/1 e/w of course.
February 2, 2011 at 20:56 #338856Will the choice of jockey give an indication of whether Mr Mullins prefers Kempes or Cooldine?

Surely Townend will be on Cooldine and AP on Kempes?

McCoy will ride Kempes. He would of rode him last time but couldn’t make it.
Kempes is also the better horse. I’ve backed Cooldine once since he won the RSA, I realised he was not good enough and haven’t backed him since, can’t believe some people still think he’s a good horse but the bookies need mugs or they wouldn’t be in business.
My only worry is if the ground gets heavy, he has form but is much better on good ground.

I have backed him ew @ 50/1 for the Gold Cup NRNB with Ladbrokes. He’s still 50s with Sky Bet who went NRNB recently but only 40s with the rest of the NRNB firms. You can still get on if you like.
February 3, 2011 at 00:39 #338880What is is with Noel Meade and his horses getting injured.
Its becoming quite farcical ever year. The man is cursed or either a terrible trainer. Has to be the former.
February 3, 2011 at 10:23 #338904He must walk under a few ladders at Christmas time every year. People bang on about how poor his Cheltenham record but he’s had desperate luck there. I’m still dubious about the Hill Society/Champleve photo in the Arkle! Harchibald only found the toughest hurdler of the past 30 years too good, and it’s still hard to believe that Whats Up Boys mowed down Native Dara.
I’d be delighted to see him win a Gold Cup or a Champion Hurdle because the man is a pure gent.
February 3, 2011 at 21:29 #338955Heres one for ya:
Let Yourself Go @ 40/1
I’ve thought for a while now he wants a trip. He’s bred to get 3 miles on both sides and the only thing I see as a problem is getting him to settle. Adrian Maguire is a very good trainer and has finally decided to try him over 3m but this looks aa fairly tough place to start unless they’re planning a touch. I have no idea if the stable does such things but the silence is frustrating. Since theres been no word from the trainer. At 40/1 I thhink its worth the risk. If I knew he was going to run I’d have more on him but then tthe price may be much shorter. Its a right pickle but should he turn up – 40/1 is an outrageous price for thhe 9yo that has won a 3m PTP and bred to get the trip.
