Our hero’s being aimed at the staying route
August 24, 2010 at 15:11 #314510I think that is sensible, well worth taking a look.
He would be a grand addition to the King George field and a very plausible winner.August 24, 2010 at 15:11 #314512Edited ..double post.
August 31, 2010 at 11:23 #315244Agreed Shabs, fascinating to see how far/effectively he stays
September 1, 2010 at 19:05 #315458I personally think he should stay over the minimum trip, but i will look forward to seeing how he goes when stepped up in trip.
September 2, 2010 at 07:07 #315528The market for this has opened on Betfair, and I’ve had a couple of quid on what I think is a very exciting horse and a real live candidate – Get Me Out Of Here.

So don't run, just like the others always do
September 2, 2010 at 14:03 #315612I will be quite sweet on Medermit for this race, personally.
September 3, 2010 at 21:34 #315807Any news on Walkon Gaz?
I was lucky enough to be there when he dismantled the field when winning at Aintree, and he looked every bit a chaser for the future.

He will be campaigned with the CH in mind.
Depending on how well he goes in his first couple of races this season, he may go novice chasing, before Cheltenham.
All will depend on how well he runs on his first racecourse re-appearance i imagine.
September 21, 2010 at 10:09 #318571I`ve had a nice little 40/1 on Loosen my Load. Still nicely in front on him from last season and glad to see his owner wants this to be his target this season.
September 22, 2010 at 15:51 #318739How weird is that. Just as I clicked on the button I knew that you were going to mention Loosen My Load. I was thinking of backing him and wondering which race he was being aimed at. Muat be an omen.

The owners wants to go for The Arkle.
I’ve followed the horse closely since his first race and always felt he was an RSA horse, if you check his record, his only defeats came over 16 furlongs.
You pays your money and takes your chance if you bet AP, but he looks a Festival winner to me where ever he goesSeptember 22, 2010 at 19:58 #318785

Ge Me Out Of Here wasn’t an expected prolific hurdle winner when he first arrived. With his size andd scope he was expected to do better in the long term over fences so it mst have come as a pleasant surprise to all concerned when he did so well over timber.
Bags of improvement in him, will jump for fun and the Arkle is there for the taking. Will take one helluva horse to beat him. Jonjo rates him as one of the best he’s ever trained and I wouldn’t argue with that.
His odds have halved for the race and he hasn’t jumped a fence yet so I’d be backing him before he runs in his first chase for those of you who are thinkiing about betting him. If he hacks up like I expect he’ll be 7/2 before Xmas.
September 24, 2010 at 11:15 #319062I backed GMOOH once last year, in a novice at Newbury, and didnt follow him especially closely. But he blew me away in the Supreme an is by far the most exciting recruit to fences this coming season. I havent seen any prices for the Arkle but expect he would be favourite…and will probably win if he enjoys a clear season.
September 28, 2010 at 08:58 #319814Get Me Out Of Here is the early one for the Arkle.
He has the right profile for the race and it will be fascinating to see how he takes to it, given his awesome physique.October 16, 2010 at 16:34 #322794

Kilmurry has just sauntered to victory under a penalty in a Novice Chase at Cheltenham; an Arkle contender?

Have to say that was very impressive, in my opinion.
I had Ghizao down as one to follow for this season, think he could turn out to be a very useful type, yet Kilmurry has given him 8lbs and beaten him by 10+ lengths, very impressive.
A year younger than Ghizao too, and certainly had a lot of speed going up the Cheltenham hill.
Very, very taking performance.
