Well, he has something to prove. They call him the best dirt horse in the world. But I give him one more chance…
Just curious. Is Raceform really worth the money? Don’t you get all the information at Racingpost, Sportinglife, ATR and other sites for free?
Reminds me the Golden Betting Rules Cormack has posted. Another rule should be "Always try to beat the favorite!"

1. Keep a record of all bets and analyse exhaustively.
2. Work to a structured staking system and betting bank.
3. Write down goals (how much you plan to win and by when)
and then monitor your progress carefully.
4. Write down, in detail, your selection methodology. If you haven’t got one you’re only guessing and, unless you are abnormally talented, you will fail.
5. Work very, very, very hard at it. The harder you work, within reason, the more successful you will be.Discuss….
Don’t know why so many here disagree about 3. I think it’s important to set goals. I start with small stakes and the more I win the more I bet. When I reach my goal I withdraw the money and start again with small stakes.
Nothing wrong with that it’s setting goals based on a time period that I think people have problems with.
I understand and you are right, nobody should get stressed unless you need the money to pay your next rent.

To me it looks like the Arc will be a pretty wide open race and I will take a close look at all contenders before I make my choice. Concerning the 2 Derby winners Soldier Of Fortune is – as mentioned – improving with every race, Authorized could already have reached his top.

September 21, 2007 at 22:06 in reply to: Jockey changes – should you have option to void your bet? #115895Well, if it’s important for you which jockey rides your horse just place your bet AFTER the jockey changes have been announced. I also have the problem sometimes: Shall I take the early prices or shall I wait for the changes? On one side updated informations about jockey changes, going and nonrunners are like the daily braed for a punter. On the other side early prices are often better. Hm…..

What a pitty and what a shock! Here is the video of today’s race: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1TTxvdcOP0
How easily he has won!
I wanna thank Ryan Moore for riding Galeota yesterday and Hi Calypso today to victories and for making me a little bit richer! He is fantastic!
I bet that not many people bet on bullfighting and PP will give it up very soon.
As a regular customer of Paddy Power Bookmakers I think the company should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for associating themselves with one of the basest forms of human entertainment dressed up as custom.
[b:ktemktku]Paddy Power spokesperson, Gary Connolly commented: “We neither support nor denounce bullfighting, we simply respect this Spanish custom and offer a choice to those customers who wish to bet on it.” [/b:ktemktku]
Okay, I’m a bit disappointed by my favorite bookie now. But the “insure bet” and “betting without the fav” markets remain unbeatable as long as no other bookie offers them…
Am I the only one disappointed with the content of this thread???

I knew that some would react that way.

This site has a number of videos of French racing like the Prix de Fontenoy and Prix de la Cascade and other racing too if it helps –

Helps if I put the url inThank you Kingston Town!
ATR has the best toteboard imo. They even show the totepools and if you just want to compare the odds you don’t have to logg in.
I see a quote in the Telegraph which attributes K.Fallon as saying Dylan Thomas is the best horse he’s ridden.
Surely not.
Well, if he wins the Arc and the Breeders Cup Turf or Classic I agree.

Well, I can’t complain too much because I had a 10-1 win bet on Red Clubs. I think all horses had equal chances to win the race and Red Clubs was clearly the best horse today. It was a good betting race because all conteners but Sakhee’s Secret went off at good prices. And for punters it means good prices when the favorite finishes out of money.
On the other hand I also wonder if the watering was really necessary.Red Clubs was clearly the best horse on the false (not as advertised) ground today.
You are right in respect that all horses had an equal chance (on the ground). The point is that punters did not!
Well, don’t know don’t know what the real going today was. But Red Clubs had a good record on gd-fm ground before the race (9 starts – 3 wins). So everybody who analyses the race using forms and statistics will give him a good chance on a gd-fm going.
However, trainers often use going as an excuse when a horse loses. Imo a group 1 horse should be able to run well on every ground.Well, I can’t complain too much because I had a 10-1 win bet on Red Clubs.
