Personally I would like to see an end to "cartoon"racing and tv channels with virtual gaming.I cannot understand why people get involved with that stuff.
As for FOBT’s -the crack cocaine of the gambling industry -don’t get me started.
Theres the cost of your television, electricity and custard creams while you watch.Free my arse.
If you think 75p a week for ATR is bad value you really need another hobby.
Quote: from SwallowCottage on 3:54 pm on Oct. 11, 2006[br]Luke — I also love and enjoy horse racing and have done so for many years and make a profit from gambling on it and I AM interested in the views of someone who has been on a BHB course – why shouldn’t I be? I don’t feel superior to this person.
I am interested in the views of all people who follow the views of the sport that is my passion even if I don’t agree with them.
Fantastic – I will tell Rishi Persad he has a fan.

When I first picked up The Sportsman and saw that Helen Chamberlain had a weekly article I strongly suspected they would be in trouble. You can get away with parachuting in that sort of columnist in The Sun but punters don’t want to read articles by spoofers.
Fat Al might be on the verge of getting into the record books for cliche use and abuse but even he earned his spurs tipping up big price winners.
If you want some constructive advice why don’t you post a review of the day here as often as you can.
If you think my comments are negative and useless I will just have to live with it.
My point is what makes you think that someone who lives eats and drinks the game is interested in the opinions of someone who has been on a bhb course which lasted how long ?.
Maybe you could be the next Pricewise when Tom Segal retires.
Personal opinion obviously comes into it.For example if you were to report on the Arc what would the angle be 1)the obvious Rail Link win 2)the amazing Japanese gamble on Deep Impact or 3)the anti climactic nature of the event.
I would just like to make a point regarding lekha85.At the moment you have posted here 25 times -most of them whinging about how hard it is to break into racing. You have also said you are a relative newcomer to racing. Why would anyone want to pay to read your opinions. Its not as if you have given any great insights or analysis here.
Anybody read Richard Birch in the RP.He said Rooster Booster was the lay of all time when he won the Champion Hurdle and more recently Yes Sir at Market Rasen. He has an absolutely chronic record with his lay of the day.Not as easy as it seems.
I’m a big fan of Mighty Man and the Daly stable but in my opinion Aintree is his course.Cant see him winning the Stayers.
Boychuk is a pig of the highest order.
I hoovered up all the 100s on Beef or Salmon for the Gold Cup -admittedly it was only a little over €20.
Spare a thought for my mate who had €200 at 10/1 for the Champion Hurdle on Sunday morning.
Theoretically but he still lacks strength in a finish.
Grasshopper for all your bluff and bluster and all the words you have written you failed to lay him yesterday. Its easy to talk words of wisdom after the event.
I have been getting it for the last few Saturdays in addition to the RP.It has improved significantly.Personally I think as many of us as possible should buy it -if it disappears we will be left with a RP monoploy for decades.Remember how stale the Post was before the Sportsman appeared on the horizon.
There is always a risk backing embryo hurdler/chasers in bumpers. My Condor was the most likely winner but the price was way too short.Anyone who took the really short prices on betfair(inrunning) needs their head examined.
