Fair point regarding price, Ginger.
Thanks, had been meaning to check up on Simons column. Very interesting, as ever.
Supasundae 16s is value. Has the right profile, good form and hopeful of a big run tomorrow.
Ability wise you question Yorkhill but you like RTR? Yorkhill gave him lengths at every fence at Fairyhouse and still only got beat a neck.
Steeplechasing, do you expect Nige to keep the grey boat away until the GC? Cotswold Chase makes sense, it’s normally a weak G1 and fits in well with the GC.
If he’s really a 170ish horse he won’t have issue in that race on his favoured ground.
When you see the likes of Anibale Fly you’d wonder what they could achieve in terms of graded success if trained more ambitiously
They did send him over for the Feltham last year, backed him into fav and then was PU. Needs a good pace over 3 and GS ground I think.
Another punt on squouateur Went amiss, looking forward to seeing another come the fez.
Incredible race, really is a cracker.
Shame Disko isn’t running, maybe a tip in itself for RTR who I think is overpriced at 12s. Will like the return to a LH track and is an improving type.
But if I like him I have to like Yorkhill.
Yorkhill I adore & i’m hopeful of a morning push to 7/2-4s. He might not be as fresh as first feared, had a spin round Navan the other week and reportedly settled nicely.
Thanks all. Really like him, jumps from fun. Had some 50s for the National straight after, looks perfect for him.
Fry’s stable form at present is terrible and DDB has looked a speedy time in his two wins so should like Kempton. 8lbs to find on OR but could easily do so. Hopefully get an e/w price morning of the race.
I don’t think it’s rhythm though, he’s just a mentalist.
Divin Bere at 14s & Bleu Et Rouge 16s my two pokes at a decent looking renewal of the Ladbroke.
Divin Bere looked to have a pile of improvement in him last season and with Bryony taking off 5 he looks ok handicapped I thought.
Bleu Et Rouge has smart form from his novice hurdle season, and his mark looks more than fair based on that and a few other runs. Was piled into LTO so they must think he’s well handicapped also and with a run under his belt on a bit of better ground he should be there or thereabouts.
I notice that PRICEWISE has analysed the race today in the Racing Post. I am delighted that he has tipped my selection POBBLES BAY. This horse has Chepstow form and seems to stay for ever. He has also been targetted at this race and Evan Williams says he will run. Mind you I am biased !!
Like Pobbles Bay also. Form from last year is good and this race should suit well. 16s e/w looks value to me.
Hendo doesn’t actually believe what he says, he basically said that himself. He is only moaning in hope that Phil Smith is lenient to the hoss when he compresses the weights for the National.

Genuine soft ground won’t ruin the horse, especially with it looking like he’ll be given a break after this race until the GC. Just as much chance a hard KG would’ve ruined the hoss.
He ran on Heavy going LTO and put up arguably his most impressive display yet, I can’t see JH pulling him based on soft ground.
On that theory he would surely go Ryanair? Won last two years at the fez over that distance and the stable has Min & Great Field (if he’s back in time). Although saying that, it’s WPM, so I’ve had a little bit on for the XC.
Ground is GS at Leop, the same as Kempton? Travelling a horse takes a lot out of it, and the owner has FN.
